Kadunza S54 ITB Adapter Plate Project

Been working on this for some time now and I'm finally pleased to post this up since it seems that is finally taking off in a direction I am happy with.

The basic idea is that you can purchase a set of S54 ITBs and this plate will allow you to bolt them on using all OEM parts. This way you can always get gaskets and replacement parts direct from the a BMW dealer or an OEM BMW parts distributor.

    Key Benefits:

    - Replacement Parts are all OEM BMW Parts (no proprietary gaskets or installation parts)
    - Correct Fuel Injector Angle Placement (for Optimal Fuel Atomization)
    - Affordable (average cost of a complete kit with tune & S54 ITBs should be ~$1600)
    - Option to purchase just the adapter plate or in Plug & Play kits

    Alpha ver.

The first plate was a bust. The injector angle and ITB angle was all wrong and the stock injector harness fit way to tight against the valve cover.
(Sorry for the crappy phone pics)

    Rev. 1

So we went back to the drawing board to make sure we modeled the injector angle as close to stock S54 specification as possible.

    (Maker Bot Test Model)

And we now have a worth prototype...

At the moment we are designing the throttle cable linkage / ICV mount. I will post pics once we have some. After that we will be designing a single intake plenum friendly to E36s as well as E30 24v swap cars.

After that the next phase it to mount it up to a few different cars and work with TRM to fab up some tunes.

I will continue to update the thread as it progresses.

EDIT: Please do not blow up my PM box with requests and questions right now. I promise I will keep everyone updated and post notification once they are available to purchase.

i recommend putting the adapter with a head and a runner on the flow bench, there are easy gains getting the transition and alignment between runner and head sorted.
the difference between a good adapter and poor one is 10-15whp. i'm not familiar with the real estate you have and other practicalities but the longer the adapter the better the transition will be. it will also make the runner volume smaller which is good when you have big throttles
