Depends on a lot of things but in my opinion ive always been a miller fan. I had a pression tig 185 but there known for a few issue's now i have a miller syncrowave 210 and i highly recommend it if its in you budget. Miller's devirsion 180 is also a good one and a but cheaper. I personally never used a everlast tig but i keep hearing great things about them so worth checking out. Older transformer tigs pop up on craigslist pretty often and there good but bulky and usually over kill, the newer invererter tigs are the bees knees, there smaller, lighter, and have more features like adjustable a/c frequency for aluminum.

they're really good coils, but make sure you keep the dwell below 3ms (IIRC), as they will autofire if you overdwell them, which effectively advances your ignition unexpectedly.

Ya I had to do a lot of digging to find good dwell times, also found out there's a lot of knock offs that say acdelco right on them and they gave my tons of headaches. Now that I got legit ones they have been great evan at 25psi.

Man I'm glad you posted all of this. I'm in the process of putting together a '91 vert turbo. I went haltech elite 750, ls truck coils. I'm trying to get a base map and drive the car a bit na before the turbo goes in. I will be coming back to this thread to get some ideas when i get it going. Nice build!
