So this build has stalled some. I'm getting ready to move. I was also laid off from for for about a month I did get a new job so things should slowly pick up again. Some of the parts from Agatha had to go to my daily to keep my daily going. Do I've come to a decision. Once I'm in my new residence I'm going to pull everything from the engine bay separate the front and rear sub frames and box up and catalog all the parts I have for her so she will have all new mounts, bushings, powder coated rear subframe and trailing arms. Slowly she will be put back together as a HARTGE H27 SP. I'm pulling the trigger. This car will get the best or nothing right down to the chromoly axles. She will be staying white but the whole body will be repainted. I do not intend to sell many of her parts because my daily is also an ix. So here the plan for the car

Disassemble and catalog everything
Clean and powder coat stuff
Freshly rebuilt driveline
BBK on front and rear
Chromoly axles
3.1 stroker bottom end with metric mechanic pistons
Top end all fresh new parts with a roller cam 292
Full Hartge h27sp package

Yeah there's also a full Hartge h27 sp set up for sale as well unfortunately for me my current financial situation prohibits that purchase. Quite bummed I am.

So lately a lot of my funds have been going to bills and my black car but I have been reading a lot on engine building, head work, and fine tuning. So a lot more funds will be put to the motor than initially thought. My whole rotating assembly will be lightened quite a bit I'm not sure how much yet. My rod selection is a bit up in the air. I've been looking into forged aluminum rods. Not because they are just lighter. I'm doing actual research into my rod selection as for it its going to be forged steel or aluminum. If you are an engine builder feel free to put in some input. I'm going to make sure that this motor is m20 perfection.

Why am I doing all this to an m20? This 89 ix is my dream car. She will be perfect in every way. Yes I could do a s54 swap. It's been done a few times. Performance m20 Na motors are becoming more rare than any 24v swap. So what I'm doing is kinda unique and I'm learning so much. We shall see what happens.

Nothing wrong with a well built M20. Ive seen simple builds, with eta crank, high comp pistons and a well done 885 head make 200whp on a rwd car.

Nice. I'm burdened with power to all 4 wheels Haha. I'm hoping for 280 hp at the flywheel. We will see its not a deal breaker just happy to learn about this stuff mainly.

I am expecting to pay a little over 11k on the motor. Cause of the roller cam forged custom pistons but I'm doing all of my own head work. I have a couple of heads to practice on. And I will be flow benching them. But we will see I'm keeping every receipt from start till finish on this car I'll add it all up then.

Yeah I'm pretty crazy lol. This car will take years to finish but when it is. It will be one of the nicest ix cars out there.... Hopefully Haha. This car is my dream car and I plan on fulfilling all my dreams with this car.

I mean it is possible I'll come across a stupid cheap s54 Haha then I may do that but we will see..... Love that s54.
