    Steve,

Why is it that that door seal looks like shit? Is it dusty, or old or something? Everything about this car is so clean and/or new looking, that it really caught my attention in that picture where you are showing off the mirror.

Tell me its just the flash or something. I cant believe you'd half-ass any part of this amazing project.

Thats just the baby powder that you see from Steve powdering up his buttcheeks and then sliding the gaskets through repeatedly.

Lookin forward to seeing this finished :)

its actually a BMW factory sport wheel with the wrong horn button. i have the correct horn button coming. the wheels are really hard to come by but i found one without hub or horn button. i retapped a momo hub so it works. nobody but the hardcore 02 guys will notice its not correct.

i bought this one from sherman martinez. i paid 2 bills for it with no hub and no horn button. ive watched ebay.de forever and they go from 300 to 700 complete. just depends. i know sherman has another or at least he did a few weeks ago. drop him a line at shermanmartinez at hotmail dot com and tell him you were talking to blunt and i said he may have another. if you can find a nice one grab it. they are getting more and more expensive. also note there are 2 diameters. 350mm and 380mm i went with the larger because it seems more period and i have a close ratio steering box and it would suck at slow speed with the 350mm

Thanks for the lead...i'll give him a shout.

I just found that Moto-Lita makes a steering wheel almost exactly the same but different bolt hole pattern. Apparently they were the OEM's for many of the classic british cars of the 60's.....very nice stuff they have, but a factory BMW wheel is perfect.
