Hopefully my 74 will be up and running in the next few weeks. New motor (e12 head w/ the piano topped pistons) w/ 292 cam, dual valve springs, SS valves, 3 angle valve job, single crossflow weber sidedraft, bavauto long tube, ansa sport exhaust etc etc. It was my first car and I love it to death...but it might be finding a new home soon..who knows.

snapped a few more pics along the way today. mounted up my front driving lights. they are old school cibie super oscars with HID kit..

got the rear bumper on and euro license lights wired. its nice to see actual working lights on the car.

then i covered the inside of the glovebox with some of super dupers carpet he gave me. my glovebox was really trashed inside and the other option is sending it off to be reflocks for 150 bucks. you can see my LC-1 hookup and ipod connector in there. i have the ECU mounted to the bottom of the glovebox

i installed a remote oil filter because with the s14 and oil cooler and other crap i have its really crowded and it would be messy as hell getting the filter off. it sat about an inch lower than this so i bumped it up a bit to aid in ground clearance. the tow hook is lower than the filter so i should be ok.

and then the purists will have a fit but i installed a late model e39 rear view mirror thats self dimming and has home link in it. super duper did all the wiring. ill use the LED for the alarm

                              ...love it...

...reminds me of some of the cars I saw this year at "Vintage in the Vineyard"...

hard to beat a nice '02, especially with some modern love. Nice work! Can't wait to see it done!

OOooO. i want that auto-dimming mirror. my new Lincoln TownCar has auto-dim on the side mirrors and the rear view, i like it and want it in my e30. also, those foglights w/HIDs will be retardedly bright. i love it.
