Day 9 consisted of buying a harbor freight drill only to find out that it can't drill out a bolt because its too chinese and chinese are weaksauce. Got the subframe and suspension back on both cars so they can roll. Moved the wheels around and put the euroweaves on my friends car, TRM on the blue one, and the ricer spraybombed wheels onto the white one. Since we were too lazy to use spring compressors we just cut the springs and threw them on the white car. I figured slammin would be slammin it anyways, and no build thread is complete without cut springs along with use of an angle grinder. We also had a competition to see who could launch things the furthest with the hood release. I won by launching a 17 socket onto the roof of the garage. There was a lot of tomfoolery tonight but was a productive few hours as all the cars are ready to roll into their final positions for "the insertion". Also note the sweet camber on the creeper board.

Day 10 was super productive. BMW south atlanta parts got here and I harrased revshift and found out that my parts were supposed to be here by now but somehow my boxes had gotten set aside and not shipped out. To make up for it he is giving me a free guibo and express shipping. I'm ok with this. As far as progress we cut up an e30 shell that was in our way today, rolled the white car out of the garage and put it in its resting spot, rolled the blue car inside and got it in stands for "the insertion", removed the front subframe, suspension, steering rack, brakes, and steering knuckle, removed the rear subframe, trailing arms, axles, and brakes. A rotor was siezed onto the hub really bad and the bearing came off with the rotor. Also the bearing on the other side had really bad play. Going to be replacing both of the bearings in the rear.
I hate getting these things off
3 cars, 0 hoods, 8 struts, 1 motor, 3 bumpers
slammin is getting some dope rims yo
I be like huh I think we need the sawzall this latch won't break

Looking at tonights pictures I realized that the bearing didnt come out with the hub. I think the hub broke off, as you can still see the axle flange bit in this picture https://www.flickr.com/photos/fckben...n/16065015029/
I must say that is quite impressive if that is what happened.Comment

Ya so part of the bearing is siezed in hub and part is still in TA. Rotor was so siezed to hub that the hub came out with the rotor on it and the bearing came apart and part of the bearing still on hub. Jeff and Moosehead have TAs with good bearing in them for me luckily.Comment

Day 11 was a short but productive day. Got the steering knuckle modified and all, which took 1-2 hours lol. Got the old trailing arms off and burned out the subframe bushings. Removed the oil cooler and figured out my electric fan wiring. Removed trans cooler lines and finished removing all the foam from wirewall. Removed a lot of stuff from the engine bay. Helped PimpinWalrus with his e30 some also. Was only working for a few hours today and came home real early around 630 and either going to sleep early, get drunk, or wire wheel and paint a bunch of stuff. Probably one of the first two.

Day 12 I dropped the exhaust off to have some of the welds that had cracked rewelded and an o2 bung welded in. I also took all the painted stuff to the garage. Besides that I was just hungover and did nothing.
PS I spraypainted outside not in my living room lol.Comment
