Here's a little diagram that helps illustrate the shifter operation
Made a bracket to mount the shifter plate
Modded some set screws for smoother operation, then found out "ball bearing" set screws are a thing so those arrive today
Also rounded out the end of the pin a bit again for smoother operation
Started with some good old CAD for the ash tray panel
And we're finished

That shifter surround turned out awesome. Why did you relocate the lighter? How to remove, install or convert to pop out windows

hahaha thanks :)
Thanks man. Funny story about that. I didn't mean to put it on the other side but when I marked the panel before I bent it I had it upside down and didn't realize it until after it was too late and certainly didn't want to re do it.Comment

Watch people on IG start doing the same thing (moving the socket to the other side I mean) ;)Comment

that would make my day
to be honest it kinda annoys me. I hate screwing up details like that. I might just cut another hole on the other side and add a second one to keep things even. I already have another socketComment

Holy crap... I've spent the last two weeks reading from beginning to end after stumbling on your thread. Everything you've done is just so clean and satisfying, and hopefully, I can put a 1/10th of the attention to detail you did into my car. So much yes... SO much yes haha;D
