Loving the wheels, really ties everything together!!
Good on you for pushing through that freezeplug (s) debaucle, that would've knocked some out for the count. Keep driving!clutchCTRL!Move with a purpose.- 1991 325iX 4dr/5spd- 1976 2002 SlickTop/2.7i M20/G260- 2000 323i AT2016 Mazda CX3 Sport AWD

How much up travel do you have available in the front suspension? What hard parts contact first?

Is that the distance that the strut compresses when it supports the weight of the car?
I was asking how far the suspension could move up, compression. You answered my question.

I used to hate Malaga. I had a 74 base 2002 and a 74 2002tii both in Malaga. I got rid of both but now I'm kind of into it. It's almost the color of dried blood. Not that I'm into dried blood, but somehow, the color works.
needs more hood and trunk trim. I have extra trunk trim if you'd like me to send you some. Or you can go to Autozone or O'Reily's and get that 1/2 in stick-on chrome trim that will make your car's uniform.
here is a link that can help you better understand.

I'm a few steps ahead of you ;)
When I bought the car it came with all the trim. The belt line clips, bolts, nuts, lock washers, and some new door panel clips arrived the other day. I've been polishing the car with the trim off and was waiting to release pics until I had the trim & such back on
I thought about that stick on autozone trim for a second, but it's harder than you'd think to find the correct sizing. The stuff comes in a variety of widths and 1/2" is the closest to factory sizing incase anyone was curious. Plus I figured if I have all the trim, why not run it.
One thing I am interested in, that you may have, is a pair of pre-71 bumper brackets.

Oh man, it still is beyond me how many 02's you've owned. Yeah I can see the dried blood thing, who know's how much of my own I've put into it

As for brackets, I might have a set, but I distinctly recall one of the front brackets being broken. I will have to dig those out to see their condition. Also, I should have a rear, but again, it's stored somewhere.
What about 72 brackets? 72 should be correct as the bumpers are close to the body. It wasn't until 73 that the bumpers were pushed out another two inches to meet DOT requirements. I'd think that 72 brackets will work as well.world renown Harry Potter expert
