Thanks for this. I know what I'm doing tonight.

Plus the trunk/hood have white paint on their inner skins, so I feel like they're not original to the car(aka not malaga)

i promise i did not do that to the hood and trunk and roof! :-)

it came like that to me.....

the running gear under your car was originally under this car

fully custom suspension and turbo N20 powered.

owner of the white car bought trusty rusty from me to put all the stock running gear in.

That's rad! I remember reading someone's experience driving that car on the FAQ.. Sounds like a beast.

While we have some M20 guys in here, just curious what fuel pump you guys are running? I can't recall where I read but someone sugguested an E30 318is fuel pump?

Curious what you guys are running. If I get a good answer, I may be able to get one to my shop today!

Any updates/plans for the weekend? Let's see the interior with the seat and harness!

91 318iS in-tank fuel pump works great with the m20 swap. Just make sure you have all provisions set up to run the high-pressure fuel pump.

Yup, that's what I went with. Going to bring home both a 318is pump, and a late model M20 pump. Actually Worldpac just threw them on my desk just a few minutes ago!

Got some BREZ300 - Metal Line to run throughout the vehicle for the fuel system. This stuff sounds like good line, easy to bend, etc. - http://www.amazon.com/S-U-R-BREZ300-.../dp/B0027AL406 - 54.00 for a 25FT roll, hoping to find a use for the leftover, but whatever, not worried about it.

Was able to source it from Seattle Automotive.

Keep an eye peeled for my build thread. Thinking of going live this weekend. 02's unite!

Sell me the rest. Do you have the flare tool as well?

I am going efi on my m10 in a little bit here. Will have to run a high pressure fp as well.

I'm currently ITB shopping. Mucho excitedo.

Wow, that's awesome! Thanks for sharing some of the history of the car with me. Always interesting to learn :)

I bought a used late model 318is pump. Then I took the stock pump out and put a walbro 255 in its place. Works great, absolutely zero complaints so far.

Oh nice! I ended up using the metal fuel lines from an e30. Easy for me as the ends were already flared.

Preshypresh - When i'm all done, i'll get at you and we can get you some of this metal line. I'll make you a great deal ; P

I don't have my own personal flaring tool, and bending tool. My boss is letting me bring a set of those tools home (luckily, shop is closed on the weekends!) - First time using this stuff so we'll see how it goes.

Absorbant, that Walbro pump youre running is because of your turbo set up right? I want to see the interior, man!

So, here's a few pics to keep you guys in the loop.

I sealed the RS's & drilled holes for valvestems/installed them

Then an attempt to mount the tire was made

Then it was test fitted on the car. Looks like with a few degrees of camber in the front they'll fit great :p

But sadly, I can't run that tire. When the tire shop tried to mount it, they ripped the bead without realizing. So when they filled it with air, it popped the sidewall. This is because I have a very small drop center with the wheel. The pic below helps explain how the drop center was moved further inwards compared to where a 3" lip places it. Because I used a barrel as a lip, it pushed the drop center very far inwards. I'm not giving up on these, mounting tires will just be........interesting

Then I picked up a pair of Simpson harnesses from a friend. They match the seats nicely

The seat brackets I used were Kirkeys, that I had lengthened by Wottech. Thanks again John

Then I didnt really take any pics of how I mounted it to the stock seat sliders or how they look installed in the car I will next time I upload some pics

The slap window is progressing nicely.........

Some random pics of it I have on my phone

Then yesterday I drove it to school. Still no hood/trans tunnel lol. It was a good simulation of what I'll experience driving. 20 miles each way, and some standstill traffic. The car runs a little too hot for my liking, I am planning on adding a second fan in front of the intercooler seeing as how the car only starts to overheat when it is stopped. Too bad I can't fit a bigger fan behind the radiator

Then I got some lunch with a friend

Earlier today I brought the car to John to see if we could make a harness bar. I walked away wanting a half cage I mean, I have to reinforce the rear shock towers anyways........

Oh nice! It was super easy to run the fuel line, you wont have any issues :) I'm running it bc it was the most cost friendly option. It's a new pump that meets my fuel delivery needs & costs less(for me at least) than buying a new oem fuel pump. $90 for the walbro and $40 for the old 318is pump

I bet that'll sound godly. What ITBs are you looking at? What fuel pumps are you looking at as well? There's more out there than walbros btw
