In attempt to not cut my front IE3s I did the e90 top hats. I can't tell the difference. I might have the nut machines down. That kills a good half inch.

    Can you tell the difference?

    Before:

    I'm running IE3s and Bilstein B8 Sports

    I installed the carpet back

Pressure washer with a turbo nozzle. It spins. It still has some stubborn stains that I need try some oxy cleaner with my deep cleaner. I sprayed it with a diluted simple green and let it sit for a few days soaking outside. It think it helped. It's not perfect but a lot better

Very nice progress!! How do you like those spacer/adapters? I was eyeing them a while back as a cheap/easy way to do 5 lug if I found wheels that I liked.

I also used the same meguiars 205/105 combo on mine with a PC random orbital. The results were great like yours at first with a coat of sealant on top, then started to slowly dull. I recoated with sealant that helped, but I think my clearcoat is just dead :(

Keep up the good work! Looks great so far!!

I like the adapters, however I dislike when I called trying to get torque specs and install instructions I couldn't get any, lining up the kidney is easy ( when it's loose) however when you torque it down to spec, it's near impossible to keep it from moving. The tolerance is so tight if it moves a hair I can't slide the afapter on. It's quite a pain, specially if you will be removing anytime soon. It's not really a cheap alternative, $400 new however it is quick. I wanted to keep 4 lug but I wanted the style 5s as the street wherls so it's what I had to do.

Right now I'm on the fence about what I'm doing suspension wise and possibly going 5 lug.

My clear is shot, it looks a ton better in overcast. In direct light you can still see a lot of cracking underneath the surface.

            Thanks!

I saw that you asked above about the 15mm / e90 drophats. When I installed mine it took a week or so for it to settle to the final height- particularly if it is just sitting.

Since you are selling that is all moot but I did want to make that info known.

What setup will you be using?

Thanks guys! The e90 hats actually settled well. I havent tinkered with the car since the last update.

However, I am waiting for the title to come in, I ended up having to bond the title from the previous owner. Long story short. The car is going to be for sale, as currently setup. I ran into an opportunity and I took it.

It is E30 related so I will make a new thread once I get some progress going. Still looking for a good early model chassis for it.

                      Thanks again guys!

Great thread. Small world. I pass by this car all the time. My friend talked to the owner. According to him its a salvage car. The color is polaris silver. I wanted to get it as a parts car for my polaris car.
