Nice. What did you use for the texture on the rings?

So I got the head back on with a new gasket and the car is running GREAT!! I drove it on the road for the first time today and god I LOVE THIS CAR! I still need to get it aligned so I can drive it more... The only issue I have is the idle air motor under the intake comes on when the car is off and turns off when the car is on causing my battery to die... I have went through the wiring harness double checking everything and no luck. I have a red label 413 ecu and a silver label 413 with a chip... It does this with both computers so I am lost

I also made some seat rail covers to clean up the interior by hiding the recaro adapters

so i got the head off and of course it bent two intake valves on cyl 4

my Hg came in the mail but it was bent thanks to ups

it was a victor reinz gasket, i heard many people have had problems with them so i might just get a mls gasket monday from achilles motorsports since they are local

So a little update on the build... I learned something new that almost cost me a lot of money! The car started running shitty, and wouldn't start. Then I finally got it started which resulted in backfires from the intake. I pulled off the VC and did a compression test. results were about 60 on all cylinders except #4 which had nearly no compression. After some inspecting I noticed the sprocket on the exhaust cam had loose bolts

Set the timing on the cams and retorqued the sprocket. did a new 3 crank compression test which resulted in 150 on all five cylinders except #4 which was dead:( Intake valves are bent on cyl 4 so I took the head off and I am waiting on new valves.

After doing some reading I realized you need to apply loctite to those bolts. It sucks, but everyone has to learn sometime. Luckily a bolt didn't come out!

So some good news happened yesterday! Bagriders was offering sponsorships to ten different cars, and my car was picked. Another e30 was picked before, but he couldn't accept the sponsorship, so I was offered the spot. (THANKS CHRISTIAN CRBR30) Looks like I may be bagged sooner than later:) I am looking forward to doing business with Bagriders!
