The leaking drain plug repair thing.

Prob need a pan...but I'll try to helicoil the thing first. Realistically this engine isn't going to stay in there long anyway....

That's a nice looking hertz in the background.
Looks like someone did something weird with the drain plug?

Edit: he beat me to it...

What are you planning on swapping in?

Im not going to lie, I had a vision of swapping my M52 into something else, but this gives me naughty ideas.

I'm not at liberty to say.

I kinda wanna do a S5x and make it a real M3ti....since it's got all the other M3 goodies.

Not surprisingly, given the uninformed tone of that sad little ad.

Shitty blurry pic.....but I fixed the sway bar mount bracket:

                Came out piece by piece.

                ....and done.

                Little thing handles awesome now.

Also did pads and rotors, front and rear. Was a nice little 2.5 hours worth of work last night.

Picked up some coilovers for it...figured stiffer suspension would take some stress off the bar....and the shocks are pretty worn, lol.

Coil overs on. Pic was before I did the rear.

Replaced all the parking brake shit...it was rattling over bumps.

Replaced inner and outer ball joints on the right control arm.

Replaced control arm bushings with 1996+ bushings.

                  New hood and hatch struts.

New cabin filters....the old ones were original...dated 1994.

.....and charged up the AC to find out that the compressor clutch is toast.

I can ALMOST get into aesthetics now....almost...

Nice update's, M44 with 5spd and Ti is not a miserable car but as a whole just adding some more power makes them that much better.

What coilovers did you goto? GC makes a great set for them and as does TC Kline. bother offer a great bang for the buck. Did you get M3 drop links welded on the struts. That makes the even better.

This is M42 car..it's alright. I need to replace some breather/vacuum lines as sometimes it was to cut off at stop lights, mostly after engine braking.

I have no clue what these coilovers are. They were $60 from a friend. I really just wanted something cheap to stiffen up the front end as the stock shocks were gloriously blown. I'll go to something quality once the rest of the car is sorted.

Could always make them yourself. Cut the top of the strut, remove guts, drill hole in bottom add koni's after you weld a perch on for a thread portion.

Jesus those cabin air filters are disgusting. That blower motor must have been choking!

This is true....probably what I should really do.

Oh yeah....it was like a hurricane from the vents after replacing those things.

If only the AC worked....but I really don't want to invest in it if I'm going to pull the engine for something else.

Definitely suggest making your own if you can. It really is quite easy, I'm no fabricator but I built my set from my e30 GC stuff in like 2 hours. Only thing is you'll need to put a spacer on the bottom for shorter koni inserts.

But sub'd for more TI-ness and hopes for S52......
