Nice seats, they look comfy. It's hard to beat racing seats.

They look nice... here is a word or two of wisdom:

Keep the car in the garage as much as possible.
Otherwise, you're nice seats will be purple by the end of next year and you'll have a nice black line where the seatbelt crossed over the bolsters. The Corbeau seats fade in the sun extremely fast.

Also, what is up with refering to these as "race seats?":loco:
                Race seats don't recline.

                .

Hence the reason why I wanted the micro suede option so bad but with autox next weekend I couldn't wait 2+ weeks :(

I know they aren't full blown race seats, I didn't want to take my chances with fixed buckets w/o a cage or proper harnesses. It's a street legal car that is driven to events 50+ miles away so I had to pick the best possible option in my case.

Will try and keep them in the shade as much as possible though :D

You've got perfect seats for your intentions. Bummer on the microsuede back-log.

Wow, your interior is clean. You did the plastic bumper swap too right? All in all, one of my favorites on r3v.

Thank you ! It's still far from perfect, this saturday getting engine mounts replaced with IE urethane and old cat back is going bye-bye. Car still needs more work (steering rack is starting to leak a little, e36 rack will go in it's place), and sloppy shifter is really quite annoying to say the least..I'll snap a picture of two this weekend when I get the exhaust installed.

Needs an alarm and tint probably too, sigh.

Spare m10 head is at a machine shop getting inspected before doing anything else, bottom end will soon follow, if all is good it will get a full rebuild + turbo. If anything is wrong with the block and or head I'll look into going with m50 or m30 depending on what I find.

Just got done installing IE engine mounts . Took longer than I thought, lots of vibrations below 1000 rpms, but almost not noticable above it.

Replaced the rusted , loud old muffler with the ansa sport section. Overall it's not really a high quality item, but for $140 it sure looks better and is quiet.

                              On the car -

Quick shot of the car outside with the corbeau seats.

Could not get the shifter slop fixed, looks like the items that I asked a shop to replace are all worn the hell out ?! I could move the shift lever from the bottom up and down a few 8ths and there is a lot of movement side to side at the shift rod joint when it connects to the tranny. I am going to be ordering a new console , shift lever and ALL the related items next week after autox. I'll have a write up with pictures on before and after results...

Ran the car in autox this past weekend, probably 15-20 runs total w/o any issues. Seats are working out fine, will work even better when I get a 4pt harness. Suspension feels good, tires are amazing for street tires but rear end does start to slide around more at the end of the day with more runs back to back (fun runs) as the psi rises. I am getting the hang of it though, was the car with least HP in SM but not the slowest even compared to cars with much more HP so that's good. Buddy who is a champ in SM (also previous e30 owner so that helps) drove the car and was also impressed with it's handling and grip. Next , we are going to dial in more camber upfront and possibly raise the back end a little to decrease the camber in the back for more traction. Both of us almost lost the rear end coming out of double apex corner over a bumpy section, found out it's not that hard to recover it if the back end is just coming out, but if it's OUT big time then you gotta give a lot of hand correction and the 4.0 lock to lock steering ratio insn't helping it. (Just to compare s2k rack is under 3.0 lock to lock and when I drive that car and back end steps out it's much easier to correct with less input.)

Will update this thread possibly at the end of the week with some new pics.
