Got a couple needed parts for the swap today, an ecu, ic, and tb from another 735i car. The TB is way smaller and lighter (lighter = faster right? lol).

The TB is missing a manual TPS that I am still looking for, according to realoem m10 cars had the same TPS as m30 cars...

    vs

    And ignition coil

T-stat housing (I learned that the traction control m30 cars had 3 sensors on the T-stat housings.

    b35 afm

Purchased a b35 5speed engine harness and it's on the way. Plan is to grab an engine harness connector from an m10 and m30 cars and make an adapter.

Edit: That is a funky looking throttle. You might be able to rig a manual tps to it...but it looks as though you might be better off just scrounging one up.

    Looking good though!!!

Hey did you buy this off of ep3minivan from s2ki?

Damn didn't know fellow s2k owners will be on here. I had my S for a good 1 1/2 year.

So here is the engine in question. Looks clean enough to not worry about rebuilding it? I started taking it apart to get things cleaned up.

Next week I plan on removing the oil pan and oil filter housing, and I'll drop them off along with intake manifold for cleaning and then order new gaskets.

TB will have to be changed as it's from a traction control car

Injectors are going to get rebuild/flow matched.

It works pretty well, at least with a Getrag 265. It made first gear pretty short though.

So I guess that this was really no help......

If I were in California I might feel differently! I scrapped the soft top in favor of proper roll protection.
