yessir, that's the plan! I am fairly burnt out at the moment, so I'm not going to rush into M3 stuff, as it's going to be a huge project, and ideally I'd like to enjoy it, if possible.
Main goal is to just get it out of my parents garage and out to me. My brother has a disassembled E30 outside the bay that the M3 is in. My poor pops hasn't gotten to park his own car in the garage for as long as I can remember because it's filled with his offsprings junk
The bmw yoda machinist I've used for years is getting old, so the only time crunch I'm on is to get the S14 to him before he closes up shop. Outside of that, the M3 can be apart for 10 years as far as I'm concerned, as long as it's my garage that it's disassembled in.Leave a comment:

It gave me a good chuckle lol
This quarterly bump means that I should make accommodations to do something with this thing. Will he ever start this project, they ask?!

Come on man don't get too held up in the small details, drive it man!
I mean get the engine in there and get it going!
Don't waste time. Seriously.
Just get it running and start driving, and fix the little things along the way, not before starting. Because we all know too well there's aaaalways something to fix.
If you wait and just keep fixing stuff then it'll be too nice to drive and you'll get mad offers and then sell it and then regret selling it the instant it's gone... Just have fun with it.
Also the rear parcel vents are upside down, how could you do this?Leave a comment:

sure is!! absolutely stoked on it
that's the goal! 2023 is the year of the unhoopty. If engine yoda finishes the s14 rebuild in a timely manner (he wont), and if the project doesn't spiral out of control too hard (it will), we may hear it run in '23.
Steps 1-7 are purging myself of shitboxes, so that's currently what is on the docketLeave a comment:

R3v partai - if I didn't need to rebuild the s14 I would've taken Austin up on his offer too

My goal was to bring it home after I went home for the holidays, but alas, my plan did not work. Had a few car deals get postponed and didn't have the spot open up in the garage :(
Yes, my pop's garage is an ideal spot for a dormant build.
Not too worried about missing memories with the ole gal yet, as most of the memories to be made in stage 1 will consist of spending wheel barrow loads of money. Gotta peel the bandaid off at some point, though.

Yep, that's the way the cookie crumbles, sometimes! I've made an effort to keep cars around I can jump in and drive which has been rewarding, but anything that requires ample time (this car) falls to the backburner.
