Killer update. Isn't it crazy how fast time moves? It feels like I saw your update from 2 years ago 2 months ago. Any plans to hit the dyno?

Wow, so glad you followed through with the project after 2 years, such a bittersweet story about your friend. I'm sure you're making him proud, and giving all of us something awesome to fawn over. Look forward to more updates!'86 325e Zinnoberrot /// '02 325ci Schwarz II /// '18 M4 Azurite Black Metallic ///

Man I always neglect this thread...
The car has since been completed and purchased happily by its new owner! But to take it back a few steps... I moved out to Long Island and had room to tinker with my projects and well obviously I was able to complete this one.
I discovered an oil leak from the valve cover gasket and both upper and lower timing chain covers as well. Annoying but at the same time this car deserves nothing but the best.
All new liners installed as well:
p.s.
i really loathe the 5 image upload limit... added like 20 pics and now i have to reattach em. FUN!

That pretty much concludes it guys!
Shortly thereafter my friend scooped her up and has been very happy with it! After dialing in the road tune the car really came to life. Tuning ITB's was really quirky, we had to add an additional air chamber to smooth the pulses for on/off throttle applications. The car is an absolute joy to drive on the streets and considering how light this thing is... will be a ton of fun doing some occasional track duty (although it just tooooo pretty for that).

Sadly the new owner isn't a forum guy. The nice thing is that he lives close by and I hope to go on some cruises with him and the gang in the spring/summer!
I'll miss that 2.1. That motor had plenty of umph to make you smile on the street without getting you in trouble!IG: deniso_nsi Leave me feedback here
