I *usually* only pull aircon OUT of E30's not put it in.. Plus I have never dabbled in aircon, so thanks for that advice.

is it only the condenser or the unit that goes into the HVAC box too?

You wouldn't have a part number for a parallel flow condenser would you?? :)
Nissens 94172 is what you want. OEM fit, accepts original cooling fan, but parallel flow.

No need to change the evaporator but you'll want a R134a expansion valve, you can't buy the R12 valves new anymore anyway so any you order will be R134a.

Heres mine. I was really trying to replicate the 911r interior
Hey that looks pretty great. Not going to lie, I have thought about doing the same. Where did you source the houndstooth fabric? How does it feel?

Heres mine. I was really trying to replicate the 911r interior but couldnt find a dark enough brown that would work with me in the sunlight so I opted for more of a saddle blend. Boy do i wish i went well with your first couple of samples instead.

    Amazing build needless to say!

Hard to say on the headlights. The silver is super clean. Side note you can still get brand new smiley's from BMW?

    Hello again.
I have been able to spend a bit more time on my little orange friend.

Have been continuing the sound deadening and I particularly focussed upon the roof and such as I have had a headlining made and the trimmer wanted to fit it.

The C pillar from the factory has this bitumen and foam sound deadener piece which is thoroughly NLA, so I made up a cardboard template and then transferred this to the sound deadening materials I have been using in the rest of the car

The rear seat is underway in deadening layers.

I bought some 6422 Anthracite coloured unbacked Alcantara from relicate.com and had my friendly local trimmer make a pattern from my old headlining and then stitch up a new one. Installation underway

The visors and the grab handles are kind of temporary, I am going to have another seat covered in leather to see which I like better.

To other things, I think we’re finally getting somewhere on interior colour & trim schemes. I have a few up my sleeve but this one really works for me

Onto the outside and starting to put a few pieces in.

I wanted to see whether BMW supplied Bosch or Hella lights when u buy new genuine lights. Bosch. Not sure whether I prefer silver or some genuine Hella blacklines.

Silver or black… think I will need to see it in daylight.

My weekend task is to rebuilt the HVAC box. So I have a bunch of new foam seals, various bits and all the heating and cooling bits.
FYI Bosch HVAC bits now made in China.
I am converting to R134a, so all the bits reflect this.

Geeking out over clips and bungs to mount the condenser…

That’s it. Kung hei fat choi for earlier in the week

You sir are a master of many crafts.

    Car looks absolutely spectacular.
I love the exposed grain of multi layer plywood, finished right, it's excellent.
