I was driving all over Denham and went down FUCKING Eden Church Rd. to hit Florida and go back to the house. I come up to the red light and start slowing down (from a whopping 30) I see a pot hole and go start to go around it. BOOM! Steering is pulling to the right hard (no power steering). Pull into the library and get out. Walk over to the passenger side and see a FUCKING flat. So I'm like shit. No spare FTL. Call my dad and he brings me my air compressor. I hook it up to my inverter (for the laptop) and let it pump up some. Put the chuch on the stem and air is just gushing out. I looked around the tire and don't see any bends, nothing on the inside either. So I'm like WTF? Look the the spokes of the rim and BAM! The god damn pot hole put a HUGE fucking gash in the rim (right behind the spokes where it should be the strongest) about 6 inches long and about an inch wide. The damn metal pulled back into the rim towards the tire. Brand new fucking tire too. I MIGHT have had 95 miles on the damn thing. Fucking BFG KDW. Now I get to order a new tire, go get a bunch of fucking air craft stripper, some paint, and some sand paper to refinish another fucking rim. It took me over 2 weeks to refinish all 4 rims. This sucks. I'll get pictures of this shit up later.

If it was a public road the county/state might be liable? I would check that out

I've got a new tire coming tomorrow. I also started stripping and sanding another rim. I've got plenty of sand paper and I might have to go get some paint, gotta see what I have in my box. But I should have it done by this weekend at the latest.

          Wow that sucks.

There's no way to really prevent that...

One thing after a fucking nother. First, the ICV plug came off the ICV. Put it back on. Pull into the driveway and I smell burnt plastic. Burned up coil. Replace that. Now I'm not getting power to the ECU. I can touch the power wire to the power distribution block and it turns on and primes the fuel pump. Check for power for at C101, nothing. Looks like the ignition switch may be bad. Although I can crank the car, it doesn't start. Everything else works.
Fuck me. I even spent the whole day prepping my car for the Auto-X tomorrow. I cleaned it out, made a battery hold down, checked everything, and even put my new exhaust tips on. This fucking pisses me off.

Yea I know. It just sucks because I was all geared up and ready for the Auto-x. Next one is on the 30th of next month....booo.
Haha, I had to fill up for the second time today on my way to work. The first tank lasted 151 miles. I figured out that I am getting like 12 mpg right now until I can get a tune. HAHAHAHA.

Figured it out. Stupid shit. Well, since I wasn't getting power to the ECU at the C101 connector, I figured it had to be something body side. So I started poking around and my thoughts kept going back to the OBC Code function. Well, I have never entered a code and figured something with that system had to be the culprit. So I unplugged the OBC itself and still nothing. Started looking at wiring diagrams and found that the code function is triggered by a relay in a little black box behind the ABS computer. I pulled one of the plugs that went into and controlled the ecu power. I jumpered the wires that supplied power to the relay box and the wire that fed power through the C101 to the ECU. Blam-o. I get power. So I went to work and grabbed another relay box from a junk car and put it in. Works perfectly. I pulled the box apart, the one that had failed, and I found a broken/burned trace on the PCB board. There's the problem!
So, I missed the Auto-X today, spent most of the day running between work and home for parts, and got the car running, again. It's always the little things that you don't think of.

Here's a picture of the broken solder joint inside the OBC relay box:

Saw the airbox. I take it you have no ABS then?

Sorry to hear about the issues. Hope you get it runnin good!

Ok, thought it was time for an update. I've put about 275 miles on it so far. I started out with 30 lb/hr injectors, then when I started driving around I had 21.5 lb/hr injectors, well guess what I changed the other weekend. Yup, the injectors. I am actually using 28.5 lb/hr low impedence injectors right now. I was maxing out the 21.5 lb'ers. I changed the oil at 200 miles and have gone to full synthetic and that is what I will keep in there. Tuning isn't hard, but it is a little difficult. I'm having some weird problems with my LC-1 that I am trying to figure out. It seems that it is randomly going into the heating mode, but it only blinks like once or twice and then goes steady and it really messes with my tuning. I'm going to try and move my power and grounds around to see what happens.
Oh, and about an hour ago I went over to the Pilot truck stop here in my town. It has a Certified CAT scale that you can weigh a vehicle on. I decided to weigh my car. At the time I had about 4 gallons of gas in the car and two spares, my parents that I have to plug a nail in and mine. I was also standing on the scale when they took the reading. Total weight with me and all that came out to 2820. If you subtract my weight, 145, total vehicle weight comes out to 2675. Not to shabby.

Ha, my old roommate had the same problem with no power due to the little black box.

Hey, did you ever get any info from rebel1 over on bfc about his Stickley 3L?

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
