Took it out of the garage this week after leaking water pump/leaking oil/bad idle/generally smelling stale after sitting in the garage because I was enjoying the yellow beast too much.

Paid to get a lot fixed and then went on a rampage myself:
New radiator/water pump/oil O rings etc, speedo fixed (stuffed wire from the sender), idle fixed (bad wire again), new pressure tank.

Got out cutting compound and a scourer and took the alloy part of the 15s back to a shining gloss, cleaned the whole thing inside and out and under. Got into the engine bay with detergent and elbow grease....

.... endured dirty looks from the DC2R as I should have been spending time on it (at 38K kms on the odometer it looks spotless even when it's filthy so I left it to tomorrow :) ).

I know it's old, but: Nice, did you leave the battery in or solder it for 12v?

As for me, I just ordered my TRM C1s!

So I'm currently dissembling, cleaning and re-assembling some e30 ellipsoid headlights. I have two sets to work with - both are clean but one has near new low beams. The adjusters are being cleaned up with a wire wheel and will get some anti-seize along with brand new retaining clips.

                              Hit some snags today...

Hmmm.... this set I bought online has a crack in the bracket...can't put this back on the car...(i will NOT glue shit)

so I ordered a new used one for $30 shipped.

got another set because it was a super good deal....hmmmm... this one is broken too!

and lastly this is what I managed to do to one of my nearly new low-beams. got impatient and tried just pulling one of the adjuster out instead of taking my time. nevermind that I dissembled my other set without damaging anything.

all is not lost, I can simply unscrew the internal pieces and use them, but I'll need to install the lense on another bucket to be able to rebuild the spare set.

anyone know where I can find a screw driver/bit for this "tamper proof" screw?

Posted my DD e30 up inside a new storage unit I'm about to rent.
Just needed to make sure I can store a car in there plus have plenty of room for hoarding e30 parts. :D
