he only does it because he didn't peep Super Duper Bobby Cooper's pic in the post a pic of yourself thread. The dude has a size 18 neck and probably could take a crank bolt off with a 1/4 stubby ratchet.

                Not anytime soon...

Well this weekend was filled with all sorts of fail. I started by putting the front suspension back together and realized that I failed to order replacement hardware such as caliper bolts, lollipop bolts, tie rod nuts, control arm nuts etc...

I managed to get the new bushings pressed for the control arms and got the swaybar ready for install. This is where I realized I was missing hardware.

And here is a shot of the new ST front sway bushings compared to stock. Quite a difference.

So feeling dejected with the front, I moved to the rear of the car.

Pulled the exhaust(soon to be for sale!):

And then pulled the rear shocks only to discover a little problem...

That pretty much ended the weekend motivation for me. The thing that sucks is that the rear struts are a special valving for Ground Control and have their own part number. Ground Control is the WORST company ever to deal with so I'm trying to find out if I can go through someone else. I talked with Performance Shock Inc. this afternoon and they're going to speak with Koni. Hopefully I can order a set through PSI and have them by the weekend. Otherwise, it could be a couple of weeks if I have to deal with GC, their service is that bad.

I was really hoping to have the car on the ground this weekend and able to drive. I have another mini project with my DD that i was hoping to start. Oh well...

                  Right on man...

What cabs are those? Why do the holes look so huge?

                  Good luck with the shocks!

Powerflex 2 piece LCAB's. This picture gives you a better idea of the 2 piece LCAB on the left without lollipop...

Not trying to sound stupid but... Koni's barely stay up by themselves, Once you push them in place they sit there.. The real test is to pull them apart (the rebound) which is what should be hard.

                            my dos cents

Ju, you should have seen how much oil and grime was on the shock body when I pulled them out. You can actually see in the pics how oil stained the bump stop is on the bad shock. They are definitely blown, it doesnt take any effort to compress the shock...

Hey Bob, just wondering if you remember what you paid for the 5 lug conversion. I might talk to blunt about it, but i still know a few people at sears that owe me favors so i can get parts there too. I love the cars you build and can't wait to see this one finished. Keep up the good work.
