So MS is busting my balls haha theres a surprise. Its funny that i can get a board that was developed for fuel to have spark but no fuel... :)

Im getting a new msq from a running nonvanos motor (THANKS JON!!!!!) so i can rule out the set ups.

Still waiting on my o2 sensor :( i relaly just want to say my car will start on MS. Should be a good weekend.

Turns out my TPS is reading 254ADC both at wot and closed. HMMMM somethings fcuked up there. But! setting the flood control value to 255ADC (the highest it goes) it will start!!! So far ive got it to fire 1 revolution. Im gonna try n get it idiling today. With no wideband i cant go very far. Ill have to troubleshoot my tps situation a little later.

      Im so excited!

Not really. My tuning computer is so stuck in the stone age i have no good way of getting the msq on it haha. I got a new computer in the mail :)

I think i got the settings mostly all set and its more my hardware set up. I learned how to start from scratch with the fuel deal. I have a known timing table and fuel table. Changing everything, i cant get any better or worse results. This leads me to beleive i have the VR sensor or something else messed up.

Im getting some starter kick back which means im igniting early. I cant get it to go away with any settings to the program with in reason.

I also cant seem to get my CLT, MAT sensors reading anything useful. My father thinks that its the temp thats making it ignite early but i have temp related ignition turned off.

              We'll see ...

I rewired the VR sensor the way it should be (maybe ) and playing with the VR sensor pots, i dont get that starter kick back!!!! WOOT

I get ignition for about 1 revolution. If i catch it right with the throttle open kinda itll run for about 3 seconds really weak.

                Its a start!

Very nice. I had to reverse the VR wiring also. I was able to get it to run but it would hit a brick wall at like 3200 rpm. After that I have been able to go as far as I want to.

Hrmmm. Whats your set up on that? Are you using the stock engine harness? Whered you put the black and yellow wires on MS?

                    Thanks :)

I honestly can't remember which way I had my VR wires. I think I have the yellow going to the the pin on the top row (ground) and the black wire as the signal wire. I am using the stock engine harness.

Are you using one of Ryan's adapter boards? I'm in the middle of building one for a buddy and I'm a little stuck. We got no parts list or instructions for setting it up.

Hey, sorry its taken so long. No im not using an adapter board. I made my own adapter harness.

Got my 3.25LSD and a new trunk lid today!!!! Hopefully BMW has the rear cover gasket or can get it by thursday cause i want to throw this biotch in before my trip to NJ on friday.

                              Got the trunk installed.

Also got some new control arms + AKG poly bushings and a Cabby sway bar hooked up. I have to pull the CAB's and regrease (with the right stuff this time) cause theyre super noisy. I just got in from making a set of tools so i can do it on the car semi easily...

MS is still proving to be a pain in the ass. Im going to try reflashing the firmware and i still have to verify the trigger angle. Finally got my 'new' tuning computer squared away though.

I ended up reflashing MS firmware and actually downloading megatune again. I had downloaded everything on my mac and transfered it to my shitty tuning laptop because it had no internet. Upgraded it to windows XP and now i have internet and all is well.

With that, starting fresh with my whole tune and playing with the vr sensor pots and the trigger angle, i got the car to idle for about 15 seconds :) At that point, my battery was about dead from going through every single table in MS again.

This weekend im going to verify my trigger angles FOR REAL and go from there. Im hoping i can get it idling by monday.

I also spent $200 at the stealer today :( mostly on parts for my new LSD :) . Output shaft seals and dust seals, rear cover gasket, speed sensor, o-rings and crush washers. Got a bunch of little clips so i can put my window trim back on and seat shocks so the backs dont fall down when you pull the handle.
