Ah-ha. I had wondered if there was some kind of evil plan involving twin widebands, six in-line cylinders, a big turbo, a rubber chicken and 2 large crates full of grenades... or not.

What 'box/diff you going to run? Tuning it yourself?

The diff i will be using is my normal 8 bolt E30 LSD until i upgrade to somthing later with a KAAZ centre
Ben Cheong from to http://www.tougetune.com/ will be tuning it.

I spied with my little eye this thing in the carpark at Castle Hill Exhaust...

So after spending some time away from the project i decided to go back to NA and had to rebuild the engine again with forged CP stock compression pistons. I have run out of time and motivation to turbo or supercharge this car. Plus we are running out of tracks to go on in this part of australia and the prices are only going up.

had to put in a locating dowel for the magnet to pick up the cam angle

            underside of the plugs

there are also plugs for the rear cam sensor pick up holes

            reinforcement bar for the front

ready to leave to go to the exhaust shop. first time its hit the ground in 2 years...

            exhaust work

now back at home to finish off

That is some damn nice looking exhaust work. Did you ever end up purchasing the CE28's?

Nope.. I figured i could get multiple sets of rota slipstreams for the same price. Seems a shame to possibly destroy a set of CE28's. But i am still itnerested in getting a set once the car is finished.

Yeah non vanos. The engine was water damaged so im a bit sceptical about the Vanos unit. Please its easier to tune, there shouldnt be any problems and in an E30 i dont think there is a need for vanos.. but i shall learn and see when i get it running.

Kinda bummed to see you aren't going turbo, mate.

Still, should haul! What are you doing for brakes? You happy with Dale's work/bill for the exhaust? I'm thinking of getting him to do the headers for my project...

                            Iain

Chris did the work. Bill im not 100% happy with as it changed drastically but i think somthing was a miss with the whole deal. The work was very good as can be seen in the following pictures. Good news was was it was done in about 4 days. the whole thing.

Brakes are massive lee on the front already from a previous engine conversion. Rears im putting on R32 GTR calipers.

I took the headers off so i can get some oxygen sensor ports put in for my wideband and then ill ceramic coat the headers.

I got some pipes to replace the cats for going on the dyno and track. these are now black.

Hmmmmm... what are you doing with the turbo bits you'd bought for it, Josh?

You'll be driving this thing soon, eh?
