Why did the builder use 4x4 post and header system with furring strips to attach the subsiding on instead of conventional stud framing like most homes and general construction are built. Just curious... as pressure treated lumber fixed in the ground with concrete WILL rot quickly.

They make lifts that work with lower ceilings...

It is a pole building....The posts are made to be in contact with the ground.

Is your table top a SOLID piece, of what looks like 5/8 or 3/4, stainless plate?

No it is not solid stainless. The top is about 1" thick with steel or something HEAVY and then wrapped with stainless.

I will snap some pictures of what is in the garage.

For about 2-3 weeks I could actually fit all 3 cars in. Then I bought a bunch of 02 parts and now the e30 is out in the cold again. Should change soon as i have sold a bunch of them and making room.

the 2002 will be getting volvo front brakes and VW rear discs soon. Also going to re do the interior soon. Should be a lot nicer.

How about an update? I'm curious how you're heating your garage--I used a bazooka kerosene heater last winter, but it's loud and kerosene ain't cheap. Researching the best option that won't cost me a small fortune.

You should stain the concrete and make it look all purty, plus it makes it less stain prone and easy to clean. Its easy to do it yourself too.

Like this or whatever color you'd like (basically anything you can imagine):

Well, posterity, you will never know what it cost us to preserve your freedom. I only hope that you will make a good use of it. If you do not, I shall repent in heaven that I ever took half the pains to preserve it.

That is cool, but you'd have to use a clear epoxy sealer to keep oil, gas, coolant from damaging it and also some texture so you don't end up with a skating rink when it's got a layer of oil on it.
                                ;)
