Hey Jean, quick question. What is your goal for this car? Seems you wanted this one to be more autox track oriented is that right?

Yes, that's still the plan. But it's getting a 98 m52 transplant so I am sticking with SM

Thanks Mark! Well, it was $400 with diry interior, messed up seats, cracked dash, damaged front fenders and hood, leaking m20 and steering rack lol.

Does anybody else make these other than AKG?!

Thanks for the support! :) But no, have never done this. I learned what I know on my 318i and trying to make things better with this car. I work in IT 40 hours a week and only have time on weekends to make progress. I can't afford to pay a shop to do the work, so I have to do as much as I can on my own ;)

Looks like you are doing one hell of a job considering the lack of professional experience. It doesnt take a wrencher to work on a car, just a smart man with patience.

Serious stuff indeed, and to think, it'll only cost Jean roughly three times the purchase price of his vehicle for them.

Jean, well played, please carry on.

Exactly, very expensive :( and to tell you truth the chassis is basically free now that I got rid of some of the stock parts that I no longer needed. I sent AKG an email to see if they would make me any kind of deal if I run their banner once car is up and running lol.

What a mess...removed the dash and cruise control system today. Made a little progress on the m52 as well.

linkage ready for cleaning and modification for rack swap

                              cruise control stuff
