Yeah sorry about that late and useless piece of advice, somehow I didn't notice that there were 5 more pages to this thread. I was replying to information on the first page. Let me know if you need parts, since I'm in the area.
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.

Yup still 17 although getting real close to the birthday. If you do timing belts do your water pump too. Shouldn't be to hard as long as you don't move the crank or cam. My car was low miles(after tearing down the head it looks around 60k ish, and the belt was still in great shape) so I haven't had to do timing yet. But do some searching around the site. There is tons of info on here. Thanks for the interest. Be ready to get flamed at for the bronzit. I have painted the car white and I like it much more. As far as working on the car, at first I didn't know much about cars at all. after the less then a year that I've had the car I've learned a ton. I'm broke, but if you have any money go buy yourself a Bentley manual. It will save you some head aches.

Thanks for the info man, it will come in handy... As far as the bronzit thing, ive already seen ALOT of haters on here but I dont mind lol The body is in great shape only it needs paint badly due to sitting in the sun for 4 years before my cousin bought it (F socal sun!!) so I might change the color also when the time comes for paint. Ill look into the Bently as ive heard many good things about it.

P.S. I also learned evrything I know about bimmers from this forum :) Great website for sure

Paint done, all issues fixed. Then water pump broke and car won't hold coolent so the car has been set aside till it gets warm enough to mess with all that. Then my friend has an idea, 1jz-gte single turbo swap. He has had this motor for awhile as a plan to swap it into his supra but that is not going to happen, so he offered to sell me the engine, turbo, ecu, and wiring harness for 1500$. I know he has over that in parts into that engine alone. So some big changes may be in order soon.
