this z4 steering rack combined with slr wide angle kit gives me an quick 2.5 turns lock to lock and thats with the wheels getting like 60 plus degrees of steering angle. excited to see how sensitive she is to steering inputs now.

pics of the shortened oil pan, im very satisfied how this came out aswell. the oil pan is now level with the front subframe and the bellhousing and now the exhaust is the lowest point on the car

i removed all that garbage spray foam insulation from that car too i forgot that, everything has been redone with seam sealer, the proper stuff. geeze ive learned allot from this car. theres been allot happen to it since i last drove it.

like i mentioned i installed these ford performance cams https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-6250-23EBH
ive never done engine work quite like that before it was educational. i didnt botch it either i started the motor up tuesday and she took a few seconds because the fuel rail was dry but she started up and idled good. side dump sounds good so far. can probably conclude that my shortened oil pickup is working too.

this things probably gonna rattle my fillings loose though. solid motor mounts combined with balance shaft delete means this thing has significant vibration from what i can tell just idleing it.

                Boy, where have you been!
Still love everything about this car, would totally rip around something like that.

Wow man. Great job. I enjoy reading the stuff you come up with. What happened? Did you forget your old password? Can one of the mods combine your old account with your new one. Contact 2man if he doesn't contact your first. If anything can be done then I am sure he can do it. Dr. Rivet is cool though

I like the fuel fill setup but how does that work unless you welded the rear passenger door closed. Or is there some sort of procedure to open it now. Instead of the rivets I would have probably went for rivnuts for the fuel cell setup. Keep up the good work. I look forward to what you come up with next.

just living life, i suffered from covid for a couple weeks that was interesting.

thankyou sir, its a great, solid car. I took it up to a ridiculous speed (around 160mph) and afterwards i was thankfull for bmws significant caster and wheelbase to track ratio. They design vehicles with the autobahn in mind.

haha thankyou! its an appropriate name for me lol

Thankyou man, i take pride in doing things my way and thinking outside of the box.

yea i used a disposable email to make my account and for whatever reason my computer/browser forgot my saved password. im not losing sleep over it, just hope no one sent me pms and wants a response lol

so there is kind of a procedure for the fuel cell. right now i have the filler hose disconnected because i still need to be able to open the door(was still checking for fuel leaks and finishing the wiring and final panel) now that im satisfied that there are no leaks and that everythings good i will make the final firewall panel and seal the cell up. from there i close the door for good and connect the fuel filler hose. at the point the door is not to be opened(there are no handles installed exterior or inside) if i ever need to open the door/access that side of the cell i must disconnect the fuel filler hose to be able to open the door but i do not intend to weld it shut so hopefully the latch will still do its job good.

im sure you or any sane person would have used rivnuts but your talking to a guy who rivets his ground terminals for petes sake hahah i will say im glad i use rivets extensively because this car vibrates so much with solid motor mounts its insane. i ran it for about a half hour yesterday when i flashed a new tune and trays of rivets and bolts set on the trunk were vibrating around.

Happy you made it through and are back at sharing your work with us. We need videos of the car accelerating, don't know if you realize that.
