How have the Seahawks had the best offseason of all teams? You're clearly kidding yourself....

I dont even know who the Texans added this offseason lol. Definitely not Jason Peters, Leonard Weaver, Jeremy Maclin, or LeSean McCoy status ;)Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment

Besides having one of the better drafts in the NFL...
Antonio Smith (Cardinals DE)
Dan Orlovsky (Backup QB)
Rex Grossman (3rd QB)
Buster Davis
Cato June
Shaun Cody
Most of our skill positions on offense were filled - the draft was primarily defensive with some standout corners and safeties. We have some pretty awesome DE's now to help out mario williams."We praise or find fault, depending on which of the two provides more opportunity for our powers of judgement to shine."Comment

Very optimistic there, lol. Theyre around the middle of the pack. Lets be clear... if those CB's were standouts they would not have lasted til the 4th and 6th round, and 7th round picks usually dont even make the team. Im not too big on Cushing, I think hes more of a product of a good USC system. He should be good, I doubt he'll ever be GREAT.
The problem with Houston is they dont have any GREAT or potentially GREAT players besides Andre Johnson, Steve Slaton, Mario Williams and maybe Dunta Robinson (I really like Dunta as a CB). There are a bunch of ok to good players, which is sort of a curse. It leaves the franchise drafting where their needs are, rather than the best talent available. A Pettigrew (Ok, pass on him because Owen Daniels is solid), Oher (who I would have taken), Mack, V. Davis, Maclin or Peria Jerry (Unless Houston runs a 3-4, not sure if they do or not) all would be better overall talent wise than Cushing. Every single player on the Oline can be upgraded, but it wasnt addressed. Its kind of how teams stay in mediocrity.
Philly and Houston both are around $25m under the cap... see a difference in quality of players?
Obviously just my opinion, and you will probably disagree.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment

I did mean the whole NFL. Who has done better collectively?
The hawks improved all of their positions of need. Last year they were devastated by WR injuries, so they got the best free agent receiver and Deon Butler, who will be a good number 4. Last year the hawks defense couldn't get pressure on the QB and aside from Marcus Trufant, the corners got torched. So they got the best player in the draft, traded for Colin Cole, and signed a big, veteran corner in Ken Lucas.
What team did better? What team in the entire league do you see improving their record more than the Seahawks?

What team did better? Id consider adding Jason Peters, Jeremy Maclin, LeSean McCoy, and Leonard Weaver better moves. Now to say what team improves their record more is a different case. Just because your team sucked last year doesnt mean their marked improvement makes them better than a 10 to 12 win team that performs better.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment

And I think it's hilarious you included Weaver in that comment. The Eagles did draft very well though. But Weaver is basically a oversized, slow running back. He's not a good blocker, or a true fullback. Westbrook/Donovan deserve someone better.
But I am jealous that McCoy went to the Eagles. I see him being quite good.

Your last point is a good one. However I'd say Curry, Housh, Deon Butler and Ken Lucas trump the four you've listed. Also, I was a big Holmgren supporter, but now that he's gone and I've read what the players have to say, I think they will be better under Mora. Never again do I want to see a fullback draw on third and long when the team is down. What team did better? I think weaver is an ok player... but philly doesnt run the ball all that much. So to have him on the field as another safety outlet for McNabb should help out. I think the system will compliment him well. Im hopeful McCoy will give Philly that chance to run the ball more, thats what needs to be done to win a championship.Originally posted by blunti would jerk larry king off while tonging jflips ass if h0lmes would blow his head offComment

Yeah, I will. The texans O-line is pretty damn good. Additionally, they drafted Alabama's center. I forgot his name. How you forget to mention pro bowler Owen Daniels in your list of great players doesn't really make sense. Let me ask you though, how many "Great" players does philly have? I can't think of any. I need not remind you that philly only had a one game edge on houston last year.Very optimistic there, lol. Theyre around the middle of the pack. By this standard, it's Detroit, because even if they with a single game, they've improved infinitely.
Eagles did improve really well, and I am very excited to see them in training camp. Outside of losing defensive coordinator for a while, they seem very comfortable heading into camp.Comment
