Yeah, I will. The texans O-line is pretty damn good. Additionally, they drafted Alabama's center. I forgot his name. How you forget to mention pro bowler Owen Daniels in your list of great players doesn't really make sense. Let me ask you though, how many "Great" players does philly have? I can't think of any. I need not remind you that philly only had a one game edge on houston last year.

To be conservative... McNabb, Westbrook, Shawn Andrews, Jason Peters, Asante Samuel are all bonafide great players. Potentially great players are Desean Jackson and Quentin Michael. I was being generous when I included Dunta robinson in on the conversation. Sheldon Brown is a better player than him.

Notice I didnt even list pro bowler Trent Cole (9 sacks last year), Brod Bunkley, Mike Patterson, Todd Herramans (Reid calls him the best Olineman on the team), Sheldon Brown (possible pro bowler, doesnt miss a game) as pro bowlers and possible pro bowlers.

Lets please not confuse the Houston Texans with the Eagles. The talent level is not on the same level. Philly is better at EVERY position minus #1 WR and ONE DE. Philly was more than a couple games ahead of Houston at 11-7-1. For some odd reason, Philly played more games than Houston last year ;)

I guess I might as well add to this also.....

Stewart Bradley tore his ACL this past week, that is gonna be a big blow for the team. So Jim Johnson (RIP), Brian Dawkins (RIP Career) and Steward Bradley (RIP ACL) were our 3 defensive signal callers, and we lose all 3. The beginning of the year should be a rough start for that D, so hopefully the loaded offense can carry the load until the D rounds into form.

Cornelius Ingram also tore his ACL... His same ACL he tore in college, before we drafted him. Looks like that risk in the 5th round didnt, and isnt going to, pay off.

Damn it, kept thinking this thread was for last year still. I think Philly will be looking to sign a few players after Thursday.

I honestly think that Eagles first preseason game is a Superbowl. Two very good systems.


Also, call me crazy, but with all crap that keeps happening in Green Bay and Minnesota, I'm thinking Detroit will take that division. Just throwing it out there.

Well Philly signed Matt Wilhelm, to help at ML depth.... big fucking deal. Id like to add Derrick brooks, he's accustomed to being a leader on defense.

Trent Cole also sprained his shoulder today. We are looking damaged already.

Id like to see Detroit pull it out, I Think they win 7 games this year. I only have one team, but Detroit is the ONLY other team I do pull for, since I used to live there. Calvin Johnson is an absolute stud, and given a decent QB, he will be supplant Fitzgerald as the best WR (Yes, Fitz is better than Andre).

I think Eagles have enough depth, I really think that THIS year, more than others they will dominate. Watching training camp, defense is quite possibly the best ever. McNabb is still very happy with what he sees, so that alone is a good sign. I do think that Celek is a great TE, so I'm not very concerned there, and for the first time since 2004, WR group is freaking impressive. All they have to do now is fix OL.

IF all they have to do is fix the Oline.... LT Peters (Pro Bowler), LG Herramans (Reid said hes the best OL on the team), C Jackson, RG St. Andrews (Just added, solid), RT Sh. Andrews (Pro Bowler, former best RG in the league, soon to be best RT in the league), then we have nothing to worry about, lol.

I think the one benefit we have is before Steward Bradley was promoted to starting MLB last year, Omar Gaither was our starter the year before, and was moved to OLB (Where he didnt fair well). So he can go back to his natural MLB, and be a stud.
