lol it’s crazy how expensive bicycles can get.

was at sports basement and they had a 9k gravel bike which costs more than my Yamaha

Looking at those two, I wonder which one costs more

I do feel like a door dasher riding it though

    Who is out there riding??

Finally swapped on the (used) set of Vortex rearsets on my R6 and took it out for the first real ride in a few years!
Body not used to it yet (very sore today) but still in one piece.
Also replaced the battery, the Yuasa in there was about 8 years old (and saw some abuse as a Miata lightweight replacement for a while)

Not to be ignored is the CBR125 which got a new set of rubbers and a missing RH footrest support bracket replaced.
Kind of disconcerting for the footpeg rubber to slip/spin while you're riding!

Damn, that looks sharp! Amazing how much more aerodynamic helmets look even compared to 15 years ago.

Chopped up the CBR 125r rear fender this morning.
No fender eliminator kits are made for this gen. I suspect this is because the rear fender is one piece with the rear tail/cargo compartment..
Can still cut more but decided to keep the original turn signals and reflectors for now.

Here is an After / Before

    And a couple more After:

Thanks! My father was a dedicated motorcyclist, he commuted about 15 miles everyday for 25 years on everything from a 1969 Honda Superhawk to a 1979 Honda XL185s to a CB550 to a Yamaha SRX600. He got like 3-4 cycle magazines every month in the 80s, so these bikes are all what I grew up on looking at.

Like E30s, they are great mix of fun from a different era. Fast and modern enough to be fun and usable, vintage enough to have some character. And basically small enough to be tossable and actually use their full output, unlike some 500hp monster.

Everything is running and driving, some could use cosmetics, all were bought as sub $500 non-running projects luckily engines weren't junk, except Beta.

I really need to document them, I will try to get pics soon...

When my truck got jacked, I had my Arai in there unfortunately

was rocking the old sedici for a while, but finally upgraded again...

Got the Bell Race Star Flex

Like it a lot more than the Arai. It also just looks way more coolerer

Pulled them apart over the weekend and was able to separate the rubber stalk from the blinker body.
Enlarged the fairing stay mounting holes and mounted the housings directly.

Still oversized but at least they are not a mile away from the bike now.
And will definitely help me squeeze between parked cars in my driveway. Those front blinkers were previously the widest point of the bike!

Oh, and changed the oil on the R6 with some Motul 7100. Just ticked over 30k KM!

That is a smell the roses kinda bike, so to speak. all you can do is cruise
We don't have fun roads here so I don't see the point of it in our context but he has 5 or 6 bikes I guess a little of everything.
