When my truck got jacked, I had my Arai in there unfortunately

was rocking the old sedici for a while, but finally upgraded again...

Got the Bell Race Star Flex

Like it a lot more than the Arai. It also just looks way more coolerer

Those indicators are straight out of 1980. Amazing.

Pulled them apart over the weekend and was able to separate the rubber stalk from the blinker body.
Enlarged the fairing stay mounting holes and mounted the housings directly.

Still oversized but at least they are not a mile away from the bike now.
And will definitely help me squeeze between parked cars in my driveway. Those front blinkers were previously the widest point of the bike!


Oh, and changed the oil on the R6 with some Motul 7100. Just ticked over 30k KM!

the tune with the intake and exhaust added 3 hp and on a 9hp bike that's quite a gain

but slow nonetheless. Literally no sensation of acceleration

but somehow wildly fun.... for me at least

That is a smell the roses kinda bike, so to speak. all you can do is cruise

We don't have fun roads here so I don't see the point of it in our context but he has 5 or 6 bikes I guess a little of everything.

A friend of mine has a Honda Grom and I was actually shocked at how slow it was when I got to ride it. I hadn't previously processed the slowness when he was accelerating at full throttle in front of me and I was barely opening the throttle.

Definitely fun around town and on the small roads.
Bike is trying really hard to accelerate without much happening haha

Apparently mini motos are hard to insure around here. At least that was what my insurance advisor was saying.

I thought the CBR125 would be cheap to insure, but it's only $15 a month cheaper then my R6 :(

Haha yeah, it’s on the list to do something with those.
Hoping I can shorten the front mounts at the very least!

Rears I may keep as is until I figure out how I’m doing a tail tidy.

Bought a new bike!
2008 CBR 125R with only 5000km on it.
Thing is pretty much brand new!

Bought it last month, but the weather was too bad to do anything with it.
Finally towed it to shop on Friday for a safety inspection. Also threw on a new set of tires, it was still wearing the original rubber from 2008 :o











Yesterday I changed the oil, threw on a pipe from my parts R6 (that I adapted to fit, and patched a hole), and a set of black shorty adjustable levers.
Also made a custom exhaust hanger out of a spare passenger peg I bought. Not going to be carrying any pillons on such a small bike!
Removed one of the mirrors while I was there too.

Want to do a tail tidy, but it appears the rear fender is one piece with the tailsection. Will likely require cutting so that's a job for down the road.

What are MG bikes like to ride? I've never been on one. They look interesting.

They're simple. It is very much so old school motorcycling, but with EFI. People say they are uncomfortable, but I think this suspension is fine. With aftermarket pipes they make a fantastic noise, and they are just a lot of fun to get on, ride, thrash, with no excuses.

So far it is also been fairly easy to work on, two faults I've discovered, the speedo sensor is very problematic to replace considering the cable routing, and the adjustment mechanism for the clutch throw is a pain in the dick.

They are not what I would call high quality machines overall, but they're certainly not junk either. The price point reflects that.
