I am drawing of PA this year 558 a week is one of the best paying UE states in the country.



I am funemployed every winter, the 1st 4-6 weeks is good, I catch up on sleep, and family time and other stuff that I cant get to when I am gone all of the work season. after about that I want to get back to work as I start to stress as I have to start pulling cash back out to make bills and have a life. Now its been too long I need to get back to work I am stressed out to the max.

Im not privy to your professional situation but that was not directed at you. When I read your initial post I figured there was some sort of extraneous reason for your seasonal employment. I was commenting mainly on the attitude of that worthless bitch covered in the article. IMO life is just a big game that is a helluva struggle and those that continually lose and refuse to reconsider their social positions in order to elevate their standing and worth are truly void of use and should not be enabled. Everyone finds hard times and that is exactly what this system is in place for. Not so some butt-hurt whiney fresh grad who got the axe from her employers can ride on people who work hard everyday just to grind out a living. So much abuse in the system.

EDIT: Oh and fuck your income. I don't care how much you make to balance your use of the system, it is a matter of principle. Don't toss that my way for justification. Like I said, it was never directed at you and I can respect HAVING to make decisions of that sort based on your situation.

i quit at a sub shop a little over a month ago and just recently got a job at advanced auto parts, soley because i had more car knowledge than the other 30 so people applying. before this i couldn't find a damn thing, so i just worked on my car and partied my ass off. :drink:

Also, you unknowingly bring up a fantastic alternate reason why unemployment benefits are such a burden to the country. They create (as you illustrated) an artificial floor in job compensation, which only serves to raise prices and speed up inflation for everybody. The most menial jobs, i.e. food preparation and custodial services ("burger flipping" and "janitors" for the baggypants crowd) will suddenly be highly compensated in comparison to the past, and so simple burgers, convenience stores, etc. will have to raise prices significantly to pay for the cost of labor.
