seriously though, that would be tits to see that come together. if someone could figure out how much to ship a container i might be down..just a thought still though. i definitely think its feasible though. + ive got several boxes of exploding flamingos in the basement, that i have been trying to get rid of. they do make a lovely mess when you put them out in your neighbors yard

Iain, we shouldnt tease the americans with things like that...

We could sell them ultra rare RHD pedal boxes and super flexy right-left brake bars.

You'd need right-handed screwdrivers to fit them. Might have to get a few sets of those in a container, too...

You should also be sure to include RHD seats, RHD steering wheels, RHD shift knobs, RHD clusters, RHD keys and ignitions, RHD trunklids and RHD grills, and don't forget the RHD valve cover!

Erm.. wtf wrecker charges $5 for bumpers?? Even $50 is "cheap" for bumpers at a wrecker here.
Yes, Euro bumpers are common over here, but good condition bumpers are still very hard to come by (especially rear bumpers).
Every e30 I ever see at the wreckers has (if any) bent-to-shit bumpers.

I'd expect to pay at least $100-150AU for a straight bumper with ok chrome.

If you did indeed see a "mint" set for $5-$50 buy the rear and ship it to me in victoria. Step 3 = Profit.

2 wreckers in Sydney I was at last weekend only wanted $5 for chrome bumps. One was a little pitted, but would have come up great with some TLC and who gives a fuck if it is costing you $5?!

Good condition chrome bumpers might be hard to come by in Victoria, but not so in NSW. They're not falling off trees and littering the streets, but they are easy to get when you know where to look. I know last time i was at the pick'n'payless in Blacktown they had 5 early E30s with good bumpers and they said $100 per-set of bumpers (I'd had the idea already about shipping bumpers to the US).

If you seriously want a good rear bumper, drop me a PM with your post code & the weight of your current bumper, I'll look into some freight options and will organise to buy it for you. I won't put a margin on it, though - that is a waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles act.

I shipped a set of speakers to Australia. Guy at the post office said, that's the most expensive place to ship to, I assume its prolly one of the most expensive shipping back also.

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

I think shipping AU -> US isnt that bad.

We get raped for bringing anything in or around out country. I can fly to asia cheaper than i can to the other side of Australia.

Yeah. I've sent stuff to Japan cheaper than I've sent lighter stuff to Perth, FFS.

We Aussies/Kiwis on R3v should have some kind of shipping consortium - would be ideal if someone like Import Monster (in Melb) would bring stuff in and send it out from there...

I sent I Mavic wheel to the US just last year. If I recall it was arround $100 with Aus post. I enquired about sending bumpers to the US but they are too big for Aus post and the next place I asked was over $300.. totally kills the deal. There are cheaper ways, but it's still hard
