I went out to dinner with some people from work. Apparently one of the guys is exactly like your friend. He will never pick up the tab.
So people called him out on it yesterday, and he had to go to the ATM since he didn't have any cash on him. He ended up having to go to the ATM 3 times because he never got enough cash to cover his bill. He was mad at the end of the night lol.
I was just sitting there thinking "are you serious?" This guy is a smart, educated, banker and he's acting like this. such a disgrace.

+1 on both the 'forget the wallet' and 'you did the inviting' responses.

I used to know a dude who would scam the group tab whenever he'd have dinner with a bunch of friends we hung out with. He got to be such a problem that the subject of dealing with his scamming was a frequent topic. That was until I and others started tuning in to what he'd order and then say, "that sounds good, I'll have one too!" When the check came and the wallets came out it was easy to overtly comment, "Well Richard and I both had the same thing so we each owe $$$."

Blunt responds to those words, I was expecting a funny retort. Doesn't sound like this guy is going to replace Ovulator though.

    Lol. Harsh.

Id pull something along the lines of "Sure, I'll go to lunch... but my ladies usually pay when they ask ME to lunch".

If I were you, I would go to lunch, and conveniently forget my wallet. It'd be a completely believable gaffe, as the early tendrils of Alzheimer's are probably creeping into your gray matter.

hes a dude i like cause hes a funny motherfucker. not a great friend but a good guy if you discount his r3v lunch tactics. its just easier for me to pay then say 'WHERES YOUR SHARE"
and that is my own fault and i shouldnt be bitching i guess

I hate people like this. Say this, "Ok let's go to lunch. (Make a P&J sandwich for him. When you're about to order pull out the P&J and give it too him. Then proceed to order whatever you want for yourself on the menu. lol)

That's fucking shitty. It should be common fucking courtesy to offer to pay or at least split the bill evenly.
