Politics are a touchy subject, cracking a joke makes everyone's arms flail.

At first I thought you were trolling. But now...

A completely capitalist free-market system is unsustainable.

easy to say, hard to do. did you ever receive or intend to apply for student loans? do you drive on an interstate where you do not need to pay tolls? when you call 911 are you ready to provide a credit card # before they come over? do you own a house and if so, did you receive a federally backed loan? there are many many things you take for granted that are already paid for collectively by everyone.

Come on now seriously, I love this country and our democracy. But, this is socialist. Everyone is like "omg health care!!" but, uhh... socialism???
wake up. there's plenty of socialism here already. the whole tax system is socialist. i'd rather not pay 35% of my income so your sorry ass can go to college thank you very much too.. so people who rag on about socialism as if its not already are living a dream. it's funny how so many ppl who complain about socialism would go crying asking for the old system back if we scrapped it and everyone had to pay for every thing out of pocket.

I have a lot of issues with the bill. I'm about 440 pages into the plan (of 1018 ). One of my biggest issues, actually comes on page 16 under the title "Limitation On New Enrollment" which denies private insurance companies the ability to sign new individuals for coverage. The EXACT paragraph is as follows:

"Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day" of the year the legislation becomes law."

There are PLENTY of other problems that are put in to specifically undermine and bankrupt the private sector. It seems to get scarier and scarier the more I read through the bill. This is going to be one of the absolute worst Reform Bills in the history of the USA. If you don't believe me, read it yourself.
