Im an avid frolfer, I usually hit up the course in citrus heights, theres also a pretty damn good one in Rocklin Ive been playing for close to 10 years now. When I lived on the central coast the best courses were in Santa Maria, and the best part there is there was never anyone else out on the course to hold you up. Down here you usually have to wait a good 15min. Just to tee off the first hole. then wait every hole after that because of the large groups of beer drinking sloths.

I love frisbee golf! I have also never heard it referred to as frolf... I kinda lol'd when I read that too when you said it was more commonly referred to as "frolf"....

I played at a nice free park in LA when I went out there a few weeks ago. I own a disk golf frisbee but no courses around here.

Well if you move to portland,we have a bunch of parks.

I must be the odd man out then. I've always heard it being referred to as frolf, especially as a younger kid. Frisbee golf = frolf

everyone who's anyone knows that the Frisbee was copyrighted by Wham-O back in '57 and that's why it's called disk golf, not frisbee golf

Yeah, this is a great thread. A couple of the local pro's and I went to the park and played night golf. 18 glow sticks to put on the baskets, and miniature LED's to tape on your disk= bad ass time!

I love it, cant throw a solid distance for shit though. I prefer the tight technical courses. Drinking is a plus as well. Fuck the term "frolf" too. My buddy says it all the time and makes me cringe, similar to when someone actually says "omg" or "lol." Fucking bullshit term.

Disk golf "started" in 1979 with 10 original courses. I too live next to one of the original courses in the US. Mine is called Cedars of Lebanon. It's interesting to play older courses vs. newer ones. The progression of disk design and plastics have made tremendous impacts on modern course design.

I like frisbee golf.... Ive only played a few times but it was fun!
