I don't think it is possible for you to confuse yourself any more than you already have. I already said the E30 M3 is a cool car - that is not in dispute - WTF do Maximas have to do with that?

A good E30 M3 out here is +$AUD40k, or around what a good R34 GT-R would cost. If you want to go fast, you have to choose the noisy Datsun. You could also have a worked E36 M3 or a near-standard E30 M3 for $AUD40k. Jeez, tough choice at which one will be faster.

If you wanted to go properly fast at the track and on weekend jaunts, would you take a Delta Integrale or a Spec C STi? They're both roughly the same amount of money out here but the Spec C will toast the Integrale all day.

The E30 M3 is a legend, but its days as one of the all-time performance greats has passed. Doesn't mean you can't appreciate it, I certainly do, but it does mean you should stop sucking its cock so shamelessly like it is still some all-conquering hero - Group A racing finished up 16 years ago FFS.

Very true, e46 m3's are the same way. I bought one with 108,000 miles, and put another 30,000 on it. I averaged about 1,100 a month repairing it just to keep it on the road as a daily. Everytime I brought it in the story was always the same "all e46 m3s have this problem, no your not doing anything wrong". Which can be frustrating when the common problems are things like bent control arms from everyday driving, blown differential from the harsh SMG, leaking (yes leaking) $800 rear view mirror, just to name some of the more expensive things I replaced in the 1 year of ownership. I can't image how bad the e92 M3 is going to be.
