GOD DAMMIT this is why I hate our public school system now days. THE USA IS NOT A FUCKING DEMOCRACY, ITS A DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED REPUBLIC. huge difference.

Here quick lesson the 1st 10 amendments of the US Constitution is know as the bill of rights, and not to be amended and altered in any way. They are written in plain simple english, so there can be no reading between the lines about what they mean.

These rights come directly form the flying spaghetti monster in the sky and cant be taken from you by anyone or any govt. (unless you let them) Matter of fact all rights are this way and any power we the people give up to the state is merely loaned to the state. And there has been plenty of compromising on nearly all of the bill of rights all meant us losing our rights more and more and giving the state more and more power it was never intended to have.

There is no compromise on the bill of rights, thats why they are the 1st 10 and most important to be protected from the govt. and with out the 2a all the others are meaning less. What you propose is a fast track road to totalitarianism of your choice.

Edit: to your edit. yes thats just what they did for months, till they got something through that most were happy with. Thats why the bill of rights is just that.

Actually, we live in a Republic, where certain restrictions are placed on the government so they don't violate our rights. We've compromised plenty on the gun issue, yet it's never enough. http://www.infoplease.com/spot/guntime1.html

Notice the trend of us giving up our rights? It's going in ONE direction, infringement.

        We're done compromising, no more.

Exactly. They compromise! wow, imagine that

yes, the Bill of Rights is very important. But to suggest that the constitution is worthless unless you're allowed an AR15 is ridiculous.

What I propose? What did I propose?

look Their was lots of fighting and bickering and back and forth, on and compromising to get the Constitution drafted. The bill of rights was never intended to be altered in any way. Thus there was never to be any compromise on the 2A and what the citizenry can own and bear so your point is a moot one at best but mostly pointless in this instance

look up the fire arms act of 1936 that will be some light reading. But you would support all that.

no its get rid of the commies that want to invoke their delusions of grandeur that flys in the face of all this country stands for on all the rest of us that know a bit about the subject

I suggest you take as many US history courses and a intro to the Constitution, in College because its becoming obvious that is not taught in k-12 anymore. Because the bulk of this is basic High school history and Civics/govt class we all had to take

I suppose that by your line of reasoning that the 1 Amendment only pertains to block type printing presses and newspapers? Or did it stop at the Quill and ink?

In the amendments it states "the people" meaning an individual right. So if this can be negated in on instance it can be negated in all instances. That's how Lawyers think. Once one is dismantled, they can by precedence ALL be dismantled.

Actually if you care to read what I said a little more closely, I suggested that if you prefer fascism you should move to a fascist country.

That is quite different than getting rid of everyone who has a different opinion than yourself.

Yes, because US government is secretly trying to revoke the entire bill of rights, and the only thing stopping them is you and your guns. Because you and your buddies are going to take on the US Army.
