at this point climate change is as factual as evolution. Denying it to feel cozy with our lifestyle is no different than denying any part of science that contradicts the bible.

Next yes the earth goes through warming and cooling cycles, but we as humans have nothing to do with is, to think so is asinine and foolish. The sun is responsible for our weather, along with some other geologic catastrophe's to cause short term interruption to the natural cycle.

Lastly long periods of stable weather here on earth is not the norm but the last 12k years has been the abnormality, violent rapid weather changes have been the norm on earth for billions of years and this is long before humans had cars and what not.

What don't you understand? Lumping ENTIRE nation into one group is ignorant or English? Unlike Canadia sheep populace, Americans are capable to disagree with popular agendas and voice their opinions. Climate Change is a proven fact. What has happened is the human induced "Global Warming" fanatics have changed the language that they use to "Climate Change" from "Global Warming". The Climate Change terms were always used to describe the natural process of the climate and did not ever represent the fanatical view that humans are responsible for a global warming trend. Yet here you are, regurgitating the propaganda and not even recognizing that you have done so. Climate Change is just that, a natural process. "Global Warming" is a fanatical viewpoint that humans are causing massive changes to the climate (back in the 70's, we were driving the world to the next ice age, today, we are doing the opposite, go figure)

And that, above, is EXACTLY the problem with Obama speaking to school kids the way he is planning to. It is aimed at indoctrination and getting young people behind his agendas.

Using your position as president to encourage kids to stay in school, to promote life-long learning, to laud education, is good for us all. A better educated country has an advantage. However, if he says anything about things like global warming, youth service programs, health care, or education programs, etc, then he's just trying to indoctrinate children.

This president has made more gaffs in less than a year than both the Bush's combined. If he isn't very careful, he is about to make another major one. It isn't his job to promote social change via children. It is up to parent's to decide when and how a child is introduced to topics like that. It isn't up to the president (or the schools).... at least for now.

Fear and paranoia are the stock in trade of the Republicans these days. Just read anything written by John Boehner (my rep). Where was the righteous outrage when the "No Child Left Behind" act was being crafted? Ask a teacher if "teaching to the test" makes for better kids. All it does is make sure the materials the government wants taught get taught! How about Federally funded "Abstinence Only" education? Total political pandering to the so-called "religious right". Where were the seven page threads calling Bush a social engineer then? Was it because the administration cloaked their engineering in the "fear of god"?

Puhleeze! Turn Rush off for a day and think with your own damned minds! If you're doing a good job at home with your kids, whatever Obama says will matter very little anyway. My kids have certainly had enough cloaked Republican rhetoric in their school in the last eight years and they haven't started believing Rush is great or Palin is any less an idiot!
