WRONG. Those were just the buildings burning, most likely. The WTC towers had JET FUEL burning, i.e. a fire at a much higher temperature. And the buildings were designed to take the impact of the passenger jets popular at the time of construction (the Boeing 707), not the much larger 767s that actually impacted the towers.Comment

Yes those building were not whacked into by a dam full of fuel for a cross country flight of highly flammable jet A, huge ass air liner either. An impact like that will take off much of the fire proofing insulation off the main structural steel on the main support core of the building via physical contact, Thus making it susceptible to the heat.
Now in a conventioanl building fire you dont have 17k gallons (767-200 hold 23k gallons, so I am being conservative on my estimation of jet A in the fire) of jet A fueling the fire ( you ever toss diesel fuel on a fire) you dont have massive impact damage to the structure of the building either, this making any sense to you.
As far as the lower portions of the buildings collapsing under the weight. You ever hear of momentum, like I said when the thousands of tons of upper floors fall they generate lots of force and momentum that over comes what the rest of the building was built to handle. I'm not going to lie and say I probably wouldn't feel differently about it if I had close friends or relatives who died in the towers. But I'm fortunate enough that I didn't, and I think being able to look back now and make light of a horrible event is a good way to look at it.Comment

Did you read my post at all? Because this was in there.
and FYI the fires were not isolated. They were spread over many floors. In fact, when you look at the situation with an engineer's point of view its amazing the planes didnt make the buildings collaspe sooner.
