I'm sure it's as fast as it us ugly. The 917 and and 962 were fast and beautiful.

But for space ships, I think these are a bit more Porsche-like than most - maybe part of that is the lights and paint job. And they are technologically beautiful within the new rules. The big roof is all safety structure. The dorsal fin is required. The boxes behind the wheels are to prevent launching the car behind in a collision.

But 1000hp of gas and electric power, slippery, huge downforce - they're like vacuum cleaners in the corners.



The 917 was so sweet….


..and people forget that the 908 also ran in 1970. I've always liked those.

Smooth. I dont get a chance to drive her too often but I took advantage of Fathers day and hit the road for about an hour. :D

Here's some of the work that was done:
New Pirelli tires
Valve adjustment
new fuel/oil hoses/tubes
clutch adjustment
rebuild brake calipers

I just bought a deck lid to switch up my whale tale for a different look.
