You may be right. I just read the blurb in the Hemmings story.....
"....a modified version of its 2.8-liter 911 RSR racing engine. In stock form, this produced 308 horsepower and 217 pound-feet of torque, but it wasn’t in Piëch’s nature to accept off-the-shelf parts. Instead, the engine was enlarged to 2.9 liters and, as Basem Wasef wrote in the August 2018 issue of Porsche Panorama, modified to produce a reported 345 horsepower.
"reported"
It was a Special for Mr P after all, so who knows what the real story is. But if Mrs P was using it for a daily, I can't imagine her bopping around town with a thumping race motor.Comment

Ran across this in Classic Motorsports...
Barn find 1960 356B Cab shell, with a nose from a 356A, the windshield leaned back, and I'd guess a slightly chopped top. That looks to me like a 4 cylinder Polo engine as well - anyone know from looking?
Built by Rod Emory for John Oates of Hall & Oates music fame. It seems Oates is an old motorhead and used to race in IMSA at one point - who knew.
The only thing I'd do different I think is to leave the bumpers chrome.
