Who the fuck cares? Mao was a piece of shit and responsible for heinous shit but so are many of our presidents. Truman, Nixon, Bush Jr. just to name a few are responsible for the deaths of millions of people yet you're not criticizing them because you have grown up believing that our country and it's leaders are great. The people of China view Mao as a great man just as we view our Presidents as great men. It is no different.

As for the socialism thing you are just downright ignorant to what the word actually means. Socialism is not some evil ideology which this country has yet to adopt. it is a spectrum which we have existed on from day one. Every single President has advanced the spectrum further and Obama is no different.

Also, China is communist and socialism is not communism. Stop trying to compare the social polices which Obama is implementing to China or Soviet Russia. If you want to see where we are headed look towards Western Europe.

I am no Obama nuthugger I just don't have any reason to dislike him yet. You guys complain about the direction he is taking the country yet he really hasn't changed much of anything due to the fact that the Reps won't compromise on anything. He has been demonized from day 1.

Lets take a look at Bush's presidency real quick. You got yourself a terrorist attack, at least one heinous and extremely expensive war, skyrocketing debt and deficit, a negative worldwide opinion, Russia and China creeping into superpower territory, bank nationalization and the worst financial crisis since the great depression.
