Again. Bush had czars so it is fine.
The funny thing is Barney Frank has more to do with the current housing market than Bush and Frank is the one "fixing" it. I guess he should be the expert since he was one of the two who developed the sub-prime system.

I think one big issue with Obama's czars is it starts to look like a rap posse. He created more new positions than any other administration already in the first 6 months. Couple that with his "home" state's reputation for the buddy political process and you do create room for doubt. Easily as much doubt as Cheney's old Halliburton ties.
    Im now E30less.

I hate hate hate how democrats just put the blame game on Bush and say he was responsible for the economic downturn. especially all these college kids I'm friends with, all they do is just play the Bush blame game.

Here's some food for thought, the Deomcrats did not inherit the bad economy, they caused it and made it worse.

Starting with Jimmy Carter, he pushed and signed into law the Community Reinvestment Act, which forced banks to lower their standards so that people who were previously unqualified to get a mortgage were able to do so.
President Clinton during his presidency greatly lowered the standards of the CRA, which allowed even more unqualified people to get loans. Clinton's Attorney General, Janet Reno, then intimidated banks with legal action if they did not give loans to these unqualified borrowers who were proven that they did not have the income to pay the loans back.
A member of Clinton's administration, Franklin Raines, was put in charge of Fannie Mae by Clinton. Fannie Mae bought the majority of the bad loans made by banks to unqualified borrowers. Raines then falsified the Fannie Mae financial reports so he could collect certain bonuses which totalled over $90 million over a 5year span.
Senator Chris Dodd, who was the head of the Senatorial Financail Commitee, then supprressed efforts by GWB and the Republicans in Congress to rein in the corruption at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. He received a very favorable bank loan from a bank assoicatied with Fannie Mae and received large campaign contributions from both Fannie Mae and Freddi Mac.
A certain person named Barney Frank, who was the head of the House of Representatives Banking Committee, also suppressed efforts by GWB and the Republicans to investigate the corruption at Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac.
Lastly, Barack Obama, while he was an attorney, filed a lawsuit against banks on behalf of our favorite corporation ACORN in order to force banks to give loans to peope who could not afford to pay them back. And when Obama was a Senator, he also suppressed efforts by GWB and the right to investigate and rein in Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac.

so...please don't say it was all Bush's fault. The liberals had a very large hand in this economic downturn, you can thank them.

summing up what Alka-Seltzer said, it was our government who wanted EVERYBODY, regardless of if they were fucking irresponsible morons who don't deserve to borrow 10 bucks, a chance at the american dream of owning their own home. So ultimately, this brings about a world recession. Now what do they do? Provide relief for those fucking morons to bail them out so they don't foreclose. Who's paying for this? ME. I am the one who was responsible and saved my pennies and bought a home within my means. This is how Im rewarded???? Tell me, what then IS MY INCENTIVE TO DO WHATS RIGHT?
The same goes for health care. Tell me, WHAT IS MY INCENTIVE to work out, not smoke or abuse alcohol or drugs, eat healthy food, etc. when ultimately I will be paying for twinkie eating, pack a day smoking, morbidly obese, walking heart-attacks' health care???? There is none.
IF THERE IS NO INCENTIVE, there is no drive. If there is no drive, there is greatly lessened prosperity. And this my friends, is why I am upset about this system creeping away from capitalism and towards socialism.
            That is it.

No personal responsibility, no drive to succeed. Blaming this person or that person for all of your problems doesn't get you anywhere except a welfare state. The working folks like us would all be about equally poor, with no incentive to work harder. The highest standard of living would be reserved for those in the ruling class because they know what's best for "us" and need special privledges to help "us". The problem is personal greed by those in charge and a sense of entitlement, and no hope for a better life for the common person. Communism and other forms of socialism haven't been very successful.

Americans, obviously, wanted that Hope and Change. We're just too lazy to work hard enough to achieve it. Obama is not the end all be all. But I'm enjoying the shakeup. American's needed it. If anything, we can all see more clearly what we want out of this country, NOW.

I know for sure Obama is 'bringing this country to socialism.' I caught myself calling people comrade and being very suspicious of large ranch/farm owners the other day.

Obama is doing a shit job of bringing on the socialism. He has no balls. To make this country better, the corporations that run the country must dissapear. They must be totally eliminated. Also all the supporters of capitalism must be killed.

Socialism does not work. It makes 99% of the country poor, while the ruling 1% live a life of luxury.
If socialism worked, the USSR would be the most prosperous nation on Earth. Guess what, it no longer exists. If it worked, Cuba and North Korea would be the most propserous nations on Earth. However, the average Cuban worker only makes $30 a month compared to about $4,000 for the average US worker. The average North Korean is starving. Fidel Castro and Kim Jong Il live a life of luxury.

I don't know if you are trolling or not, but if you're serious, then I'm speechless.

                          .
You are 100% wrong. What you are describing here is capitalism, not socialism.

And stop equivocating communism and socialism, they are not the same thing. The Soviet Union has nothing to do with this country and social policies we may or may not implement, so stop using it as an example. The Soviet Union started with a violent overthrow of the government and a complete takeover of all industry. It was ruled by totalitarian dictators from day one. If you want to use examples then look towards the democratic socialist countries of Western Europe, that is the direction we are headed.

You guys can bitch and moan all you want about the evils of socialism but its always been a part of this country and it always will be.

It is refreshing to see other people who see things for what they are once in a while. I have a government job and have the unfortunate luxury of being in the union, my job is filled with all of those entitlement whores. They feel that our employer is selfish and wrong if they don't get their hands on every last penny in the budget. It is the same attitude towards the government. Who cares if they have 2 brand new cars in the driveway and all of a sudden can't pay their mortgage, its not their fault. My wife and I live very reasonably and all of our cars have been payed off. I would love to trade in our 2003 civic for a new 328i but it presses our budget to close for our comfort therefore we don't. But it doesn't matter that we made that decision because my tax dollars are going to someone who didn't give a shit that buying that new car wasn't smart. I bought a house that we could afford and have never payed late once, yet I am to much of a risk to refinance for a lower interest rate. Our only choice for lower rates is to stop paying our mortgage until we can apply for the government aid. So we just keep paying our payment at our current interest rate, I refuse to take part in that. This administration wants you to depend on them for everything, THEY WANT SOCIALISM IN THIS COUNTRY! Our nations trash just want to sit on the couch with their cheerios and KFC while everything is handed to them, our government wants us to be that. Sadly the majority will not realize this until it is to late.
