Well, being the nephew of one of the victims, I can say that it doesn't feel much different after he was executed in such fashion. I don't feel as though I am content about his death. He deliberately killed 13 people in such a terrible way, my uncle being one and even though I wasn't close to my uncle, I still feel for him and his family. I've seen John Allen Muhammad in person when I was young, maybe around 12-13, and he showed no feeling...he seemed so cold-hearted and didn't give two shits that he killed these innocent people. Even in his last moments, he did not choose to say any apologies to the families at all! I believe that execution was what he deserved, but I don't think it was that fulfilling since he could not feel the pain the actual victims felt.

Solitary confinement is the best way. Let them think about what they did and maybe they will eventually feel guilt and pain at least somewhat comparable to that of the victim and their loved ones.

How the fuck you figure that????????????? To feed house and medical for 10-12 years at 40-60k a year depending on state then a few dollars for the injections to kill him. House feed and medial at the same rate+ the added over head for 1 guy per room, and all the provision for solitary, in prison infrastructure and man power for up to 60-70 years and adjust for inflation. And you have a much much higher bill than killing the fucker after 10-15
Why dose common sense escape you at every turn.

The reason it costs more to kill them is the funds tied up in the court and appeals system, (paying judges, lawyers, clerks, etc.) plus, the lockdown costs of the prison, the, the medical professional to administer, etc. Granted the shot only costs a few bucks, it's the stuff behind the scenes that makes the price skyrocket.
I say use a bullet, not cruel, not unusual, and less than a dollar for the shell. Maybe dispose of the bodies in the national parks to feed wildlife?

For the guy above you farbin.
Hey fuck tard WE ARE COMPARING LIFE IN SOLITARY TO DEATH ROW. Guess what they are both housed in a very similar manner in similar max security prisons. Thus anual cost would be similar per inmate right. SO you purpose those costs for up to life time rather an a decade or so???????
Now I just scaned those links but I didnt see a cost for a inmate in Solitary or life per year?????
Again With the common sense
Yes Farbin you are correct the pirce is inflated for the lawyers and court costs of the appeals process. But do you really think that a person convicted of a heinous crime at 18 or 20 and lives to be 75-80 in prison at a 45k a year costs less than putting the same man to death after a decade even if the costs are greater for that 10 years???Originally posted by FusionIf a car is the epitome of freedom, than an electric car is house arrest with your wife titty fucking your next door neighbor.

This is the number 1 reason why the state should not execute people.
Not saying snipershit didnt get what was coming to him, but I'd rather he work for the state til death. Then harvest his organs.
Whatever happened to hard labor prisons? Our prisoners should work their ass off while incarcerated. That way no prisoner would absorb any tax dollars and the penal system would actually give back to society. Plus if someone gets exhonorated once in a while then hey, job well done prisoner dude. Maybe pay the poor guy for all that time he worked.
