I have to say, I haven't even touched this game in a few weeks.

I'm so utterly disappointed with it, I'm about to go sell it back to GameStop and go back to playing F1 2010.

no but they have 200+ versions of every r32, r33 and r34 skyline. Also have a 97 and 98 civic type r ek9 but you can only put wheels, carbon fiber hood and race mod the 97 not the 98 cause one is "standard" and the other is a "premium"

I'm blown away with the physics too, but only the Front engine chassis and tire models - spectacular. I'm blown away by the unstable physics of most of the mid-engine cars and abilities of the AI cars in a completely different manner.

                  :dot:

Maybe the AI are major lard asses and increase the car weight by a factor of 10. Seems that any contact with them ends up being more like a Smart car vs. an Abrams tank.... If they can spin you with a tap in a corner, you should darn well be able to knock them straight off the track with a 100 mph closing speed. AI cars make good brakes, as long as you hit them square - hit them offset or at an angle at those speeds, they make a small correction and motor on while you go spinning off into the sunset...(hehehe.. I was messing around a bit last night.... not my usual driving style)

I've become pretty tired with this game. The seasonal events are fun though.

Got it today and played 7 hours straight. I was glad to see you can color match the RS's to your car. Overall good game.

The new set of bonus races look sweet...

Managed to get a gold in the GT-R race last night. On the last try at the last possible moment. Finished 1.5 seconds ahead of the GT at 9:58. Went back into try to run the RX-7 race again (I was still a few seconds off leader), and was locked out.

Those seasonal races are the best/fastest way to level up. I'm sitting at 24 now, and I'm calculating I'll be at 25 when I'm done with the Bonus Race 2 set.

5Toes - you can always approximate based on how many miles you've driven - that's in your profile.

So, I put my newest B-spec driver "Dudley" in one of the Expert races. Went from level 2-just shy of level 6 in one race. Based on his driving, I think that the 'experience' bar means a lot more than driving level. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Is it better to slowly progress a new driver with lower exp point races? Or can you just run the big races and level up and the driver will still be fast/consistent with less f'ups?

realism is much better on iracing. plus it's got real tracks not some fake ones. gt5 isn't all bad but with the limited time i have to "drive sims" I'd much rather spend it on iracing. for example I am going to winterfest@sebring for a race next week and iracing has it. it's a huge step up when you can drive a track before you get there.
