Good to hear - I've basically stopped playing until I buy a wheel, but I haven't been able to choose one.

Supposedly the "official" wheel of GT5 is coming out soon, but it's rumored to sell for $500 and I'd rather buy real parts for my car at that price.

The Logitech GT Force is the 'official' wheel for the GT Academy. At least it is the one that will be used for the finals.

I bought that one for the sole purpose of GT Academy, and then just found out on Monday that I am not eligible to win anything... Fricken corporate rules... (I'm an engineer for Nissan).

I should have just bought the fancy Fanatech (sp?) Porsche wheel one so i could use it on my Xbox too.

I use the D pad. If I make it near the finals for the GT Academy, then I'm going to buy the Logitech GT Force wheel.

If you think you're going to get that far, buy the wheel now. It is not an easy transition from controller-to-wheel, even if you drive a real car. It takes a LOT of getting used to.

That's precisely why I'm holding back on playing the game. Kinda want to have a clean start...although I played a few friends online and it was a lot of fun. Cape Ring is a GREAT track, love all of the elevation changes.

Side note, do you unlock Nurburgring by finishing the AMG series?

Cape ring is a ton of fun for sure. I wouldn't hold back on playing the game, I'm just trying to say, if you're at a competitive level and you switch to a wheel at the last moment, that might not be smart.

You unlock the Ring by finishing most of the AMG series, can't remember what level exactly. It might be all of it on bronze.

I had such a bitch and a half of a time unlocking the TG test track, getting all gold was a fucking PAIN.

So the Logitech GT force is the wheel to get if I don't want to spend more than $150?

The Bugatti is nuts. I maxed it out too just for the hell of it, and then entered in the french race series. I damn near beat everyone the the Start/Finish line. At the start. I think the car that started on pole still had his back tires behind the line when I passed him.... That car certainly made the High Speed Ring win in the Turbo sports race easy, although I preferred using the ZZII (only mod done on that so far is Race Med tires).

I'm just shy of level 19 after last night.

I tired the historic race with my not quite fully modded Shelby 350R. That car is a beast, but knife edge handling. It might actually be fast enough, but the margin for error is too small for the 'make no mistakes' bit. At least I'm starting to move my B-spec re-tard forward, I think I'm at 7 now, but have cars to easily get him up a bit and quickly.

I'm still waiting for a damn mini to show up in the used car lot. I dont want to spend more than 30K to win that series...
Ill gift one for the right trade. I have 3 from winning etc. You win one in b spec?

Lets see... what is worthy of a trade for a mini that I'll use for 2 races....

I've got a sweet ass hot pink miata with a wing on it...

I got pissed at my b-spec driver, so I'm making him drive it.

What races did you win the mini on? I'll prob just do those.

Unless of course, you really want my Pink Miata.

Plus it allows you to change brake balance, TCS/ABS levels, etc while on track. I'm not sure if others allow that.
