      b-spec is teh ghey.

I love racing a fully modded c63 without traction or abs around the ring. Definitly awesome

Scientists have proven that the average human being gives 60% too much of a fvck about most daily
activities, so stop giving a fvck, and drastically reduce your capabilities of giving a fvck

agreed on b-spec, although it may be the only way I complete the endurance races.

26 A-Spec 15 B-spec here, but lately I have been trying to get all gold in the IB license test to get that old Toyota race car so I can finish up the last expert race I need to win.

A-Spec/B-spec extreme event 'Like the Wind' is easier/faster way to get the 7.

Win the A-spec (I think I used the Furai concept I won in the B-spec NA Roadster cup?) and you get the Toyota Minolta 88-V racer. Mod it and use the Toyota for the B-spec, and then you have Toyota 7.

Or, RM a Challenger R/T, put full mods and Race softs on it and win the Historic Cup with that car. It can be done, just clear the field in the first few corners and get as much of a gap as possible. Once the Chaparell gets to 2nd place, he'll catch you very quick.

I'm lazy, after two tries, if I only got bronze, I moved right on to the next one.

Ooops looks like all gold in the IB tests gets you Honda S800 RSC Race Car'68, not a Toyota..

I'll try your Like the Wind way of getting an old race car to beat Historic Racing Car Cup, I got the first race done but the 2nd one I just can't seem to beat.

So... I dont wanna go back and read a million posts... How does this compare to Forza 3? I just bought it for $40 on ebay and I'm worried it won't be as fun :( I played the Prologue and it wasn't very good, felt completely fake, not realistic at all.

I wish I could tell you but I don't have an xbox. It is the best PS3 driving SIM out there IMO.

I've just heard so much good and bad stuff about it, each system has its own fanboys that wouldn't admit "their" game is really not as good, so its hard to figure out which is best w/o actually owning both :(

They both have their pros and cons, but I do prefer the physics over forza.

Forza is more fun. GT5 is better to drive. Forza has a livery editor, significantly better modification, and interior views in everything. GT5 has the ability to put horrendous wings on some cars, and wheels on some cars. Forza has an amazing online community, a consistent car-buying experience, and downloadable content.

GT5 is the first Gran-Turismo to openly support its online play, so it's not great. Car buying is a toss-up if it's a standard car, you're only going to find it in the used market, which is a pain in the bloody arse. Kaz stated he hates DLC, and does not want to go that route with GT5.

I find myself playing Forza more often than GT5, even though I have a G27/E30 seat setup. I just think it's more fun to hop in an E30 and go nuts on Fuji. I hop on GT5 when I want to challenge myself.

What exactly does that mean, standard car? I kind of guessed buying a car would be similiar to Forza: win money: click to buy cars

There is a used car dealership. Any standard (read: BMW 2002, E46 BMWs, Mercedes 190E, etc) car is there. It cycles through cars slowly, around 6 new cars per race, the whole dealership having around 30-50 cars(pulling a number out of my ass). You have to WAIT for a standard car to show up to buy it.

Premium cars = new cars, modifiable
Standard cars = used cars, barely modifiable

There are like 20 premium cars, and 15,000 standard cars that you can't do shit with no matter how much you want to.

Standard cars are able to be upgraded as far as performance is concerned, but visually, you can't do shit. And yeah, trying to buy 1 standard car, waiting for it to show up in the used marketplace out of 800... pain in the fucking ass.
