so you haven't even seen one in person? or sat in one? its ok, someday you'll see that having the worlds fastest car is a cool thing.
I'd like to see proof regarding those first two remarks. Not saying you're wrong, I just doubt that the Veyron has a displacement on demand-esque feature.

Regarding the Veyron being the 'end all be all,' it's certainly not in my book. Now maybe your e-cock is falling out of your pants because you sat in one once, but I still look at it as the Lexus of hypercars. Sure it has all the numbers trumped, but it's about as raw as granny's Buick Roadmaster. Give me a Zonda F if we're talking about that kind of money.

If we are talking about famous cars we've sat in, then my e-cock is bigger than yours. :D

there are also older bugatti's that look very nice IMO. but the veyron is about going fast enough to melt your tires in 15mins. the veyron's tires melt at 15min at the top speed of 250mph, but will drain the gas tank in under 12min at the same speed. then you get to send the wheels back to france to have them mounted with ~10,000$ a set tires.

The top speed was verified by James May on Top Gear for the November 2006 issue, again at Volkswagen Group's private Ehra-Lessien test track, where the final-production car hit 407.9 km/h (253.5 mph), which equated to almost one-third of the speed of sound at sea level. As the Bugatti Veyron approached the top speed during the test, May said that "the tyres will only last for about fifteen minutes, but it's okay because the fuel runs out in twelve minutes".
Tires need to be replaced approximately every 4,000 kilometres (2,500 mi). The cost of tires for a Veyron is £6,325 ($10,347) a set, and they can be fitted only by Bugatti. Bugatti says that labour is the bulk of the cost at £6,000 ($9,815), which also includes checking the many complex systems on the car. At every third tyre change, the roadwheels must be replaced. The cost to extend the original two-year new car warranty is £38,000 ($62,164) for 1 year, and £63,000 ($103,062) for 2 years.

there is a key where the normal key is on any car that powers a "v8" and a second key inbetween the drivers seat and door, kinda on the floor there. that key powers the second "v8." together its the full w16. i only have the "" marks becasue the motor is build as a w16 but will run as 2 v8s, i hope that makes sense. i'll look for "exact proff" but I've seen it on a few shows and i taked to a guy who has one at concorse de elegance (sp?) in louisville about 2 months ago. and not trying to talk about the bigger ecock or anything, but have you been to a concorse de elegance show? lot of rare and very very nice supercars. and i never said famous i said cool. ;)

The driver must, using a special key (the "Top Speed Key"), toggle the lock to the left of his seat in order to attain the maximum (average) speed of 408 km/h (254 mph). The key functions only when the vehicle is at a stop, when a checklist then establishes whether the car—and its driver—are ready to enable 'top speed' mode.
While it takes this exceptional car only 2.5 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h, it needs even less time – a mere 2.3 seconds – to come to a standstill from 100

Blaming it all on the cell phone is such a cop out. Sure lets make cell phones illegal to use in all of America, all those idiots who can't pay attention while on the phone also don't pay attention while changing stations on the radio or unpacking a starburst. Whats next, ban drinking your soda or maybe just ban using your hands while driving period. Banning the use of cell phones has done nothing for California except produce a little more revenue. How about we have some personal responsibility for once instead of blaming it on the easiest distraction you can think of when pulled over. The guy is trying to not look stupid to the rest of the world by admitting he was driving like a jackass and couldn't keep it under control.

Ah, that's swell. I'm sure you (the guy with the E30 who talks like he is inebriated) struck up a riveting convo with the Veyron owner.

However, you are wrong thinking there is a "Go Fast" key that adds 500 bhp, this isn't Need For Speed. The key allows the driver to bypass the limited top speed (there are disagreements as to the actual amount, but somewhere between 215mph and 233mph) to the manufacturer's claimed top speed of 256mph. It does this by adjusting the rev limiter, timing, the passive aerodynamic package, and the suspension.

Edit: You never provided proof (not proff) for the $3.3M list price, nor the displacement-on-demand feature.

Wow. Can you believe it? How fortunate that there just happened to be two guys driving along with a video camera. Don't they seem to be at just the right place at the right time? Hmmm... matching speed with the Veyron... and camera guy seems a little quick with "oh, he wrecked," at just that moment...

I'd put real money on it... and double down that Sublime's 'Wrong Way" was cued and waiting for the driver to switch to from 'The Buzz.' This is an insurance scam with a side of youtube/FailBlog.

Guy sees a pelican on the road and instead of just braking, he makes an avoidance move (most everyone will brake). From the car's swaying, his cell phone drops on the floor. While holding the steering wheel with one hand, completing his manoeuvre, he tries to grab the phone and ends up in the pound... Yeah sure. FAIL.
Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

how is it a scam based on wat music the guy is playing on his radio. and he didnt say anything about it being wrecked. as soon as the veyron started going off the road, camera guy started saying oooh, ooooh, ooooh, and when it hit the water is when he said anything else.

why would anyone who could afford that car need to scam insurance.

I dont see any pelicans or any birds in the video. If you pause it right before he goes in, you see no obstacle or bird. That guy is a liar who deserves everything he got or will get. I hope they prosecute him for fraud if he trys to get insurance to pay for it.

Also another reason to ban cell phones while driving.
