I have heard people speak about things they saw, even my own father claims he saw something years ago when he was younger. I have never seen, but like it's been said on this thread before, mathematically speaking, it's impossible for us to be alone.

I think they are out there, and will probably reveal themselves when we stop acting like cavemen on a roid rage.

I like the British military's point of view on the subject.

"The MOD has no specific capability for identifying the nature of such sightings. There is no Defence benefit in such investigation and it would be an inappropriate use of defence resources. Furthermore, responding to reported UFO sightings diverts MOD resources from tasks that are relevant to Defence."
Basically, they haven't killed us yet, so why worry about it? They got friggin lazers after all, so we are fucked anyway.

Backwards time travel is impossible. If time travel were possible, there would be an infinite number of time travelers. Literally, there would be more time travelers here now than people from this time period. Not to mention the whole grandfather paradox thing.

As far as I know that paradox is nothing but a theory. Also, I'm sure if time travel was invented, it wouldn't be as simple as booking a trip to Vegas, that type of stuff would be regulated as hell, only after going through extensive training and tests would you be even considered to travel in time.

I highly doubt UFOs are human beings to begin with, I mean why wouldn't they hook us up with technology and by default hook themselves up with even better technology when they go back to their time(if that is possible).

Well think about it. If time travel were possible, then every person that ever exists from the discovery of time travel to the end of the universe, could all travel back to the same time period. The number isn't infinite, but it is likely in the trillions if not more. Now if just one person from every year traveled to 2009, the number would be in the billions. There should be billions of time travelers here right now. Where are they?

Well fuck, backwards time travel is nothing but a theory. Hell it's not even that because it goes against the laws of physics. It is IMPOSSIBLE. The paradoxes of time travel further demonstrate this fact.

I think that it is conceivable that in the distant future we may be able to view the past in some way. Like some sort of movie. Technically, when we look at distant objects in space, we are seeing them as they existed long ago. It takes light years to travel to Earth even from the closest stars. Something along these lines may be discovered which will allow us to see how Earth once looked. We will never be able to interact with the past though.

I really recommend reading the "Paradoxes of Time Travel" by David Lewis. It is a short and very cool read.
