Hello,
Read through this post and agree with most all of speeds comments. We just developed a new website and one of the more expensive parts where the photos.
All of that being said if the image was posted to a public forum be sure there forum does not explain that any image uploaded to the site turns into there intellectual property.
We had our lawyer draw this up on our site for the reason stated as we could have a customer upload an image and then be help liable.
I hope your effort go well but research the sites posted before continuing any legal battle as it could be very expensive!!
BTW what was the bill for the image, at this point if any of the dtm guys are reading this just pay it as the forum post will kill your business. Forums are good and bad for business's we have had several issues out of 10's of thousands of sales and it seems only bad come up. This post alone will cost Dtm guys mega dollars!!!!
Thanks,

Just some broad blanket points: As far as I know, Eurostop is not a one man show. Eurostop may make parts for our old cars but their parts are complete shit. If they disappeared suddenly I wouldn't cry. Let's also take a look at the blatant infringements they've been making on their parts for years. Ree-Gur my ass... Perhaps it wasn't a Jason pic, maybe it was a Jay-sun pic? ;-)Leave a comment:

Where is Judge Judy when we need her?
I can't wait for an episode of Judge Judy starring Jason and the spoke person for DTM-whatever... It worked for Jean and it was entertaining. Pretty sure that Jean got recognized at supermarkets and got laid too ;)Last edited by Massive Lee; 12-29-2009, 08:12 PM.Leave a comment:

I'm betting that once the OP figures out the cost/benefit on this it will.Actually, in the initial post, Speedmind mentionned he didn't ask to remove the picture. He simply notified them that they were using his picture and sent an invoice. Simple. Then DTMfibercrap removed the picture thinking the problem would vanish away. Which obviously won't happen.
It's a losing battle, and moreover it's rather pathetic.Leave a comment:

There were some pretty big differences between what I posted and what you posted - tone, for one, and the ethos behind what Speedminded was doing was another.
You reckon Speedminded is a d-bag for pursuing payment from those guys (when he was following the worldwide industry standard of invoicing for his work first) and were questioning whether he has the right to complain about his work being pirated when it was on the Internet (the magical fairy land of free work to plagerise and sparkly unicorns!!!11one). And then you put up 11ty other posts that all said the same thing.
My point of view is pretty much the opposite of that.Leave a comment:
